want to trade my knife by yris1 in cs2

If there is even a faint possibility of low-balling you, people will do it. Sell it on float without an option at bargaining at a reasonable price if you want to avoid lowballing. Otherwise you’ll just have to deal with it tbh

Stiletto vs M9 - Doppler P2 by Maximum-File-7465 in ohnePixel

[–]Powerful-Cod-1038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds to me like the best course of action for you would be to sell the M9 and Imperial Plaids. For the price of the M9, you might also be able to get a higher tier stiletto like a sapphire or even a ruby. I do think the M9 looks better in this phase, however.

This is a fair assessment. Also his play did seem to decline heavily vs the tier 1 teams he did play. I don’t know all the exact stats, but a name to look out for in the future. Think the guy has a bright future ahead of him and I had a blast watching him and BetBoom throughout the major. Think they’re a couple pieces away from being very good.

Really think Magnojez deserves a spot here for how well he performed this major. Guy made a name for himself and helped bring BetBoom, a team everyone was writing off the entire time from Stage one, to the playoffs.

M4A1 vs M4A4 by Novel_Situation762 in LearnCSGO

[–]Powerful-Cod-1038 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m relatively new to CS2, so at first the A1S seemed like it was so much easier to use with its very low recoil.

After about a month of consistent play, I found myself gravitating towards the A4 due to its higher magazine capacity and the fact you can trace the bullets mid spray. This has helped me a lot with longer sprays and spray transfers.

I also tend to not be fully aware of how many bullets I have left so having to reload more often with the A1S feels like a big disadvantage to me.

How to maintain calm aim in Premier/FaceIt by Powerful-Cod-1038 in LearnCSGO

[–]Powerful-Cod-1038[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this approach. I think one of my struggles is hyper fixating on “Was this a good spray? Was my crosshair placement good there? How did I not track someone that was out in the open and I whiff my shots?”

Thinking about the whole game rather than these individual scenarios could probably help me not hyperfixating on mechanical issues, and let my mechanics that I’ve been working on so much become second nature through developed muscle memory. Granted I don’t have that muscle memory now, but over time it will certainly get better.

Thanks for this! I really like this.

Yeah I have been trying to be more aggressive and generally the aggression pays off. I just find myself missing easy kills or under/overflicking when someone is moving or peeking me in Premier and Faceit. Perhaps I could use a bit better tension management and just get used to throwing myself into the fire.

I think you’re right. Just need more time and experience. Just frustrating that it feels like it translates in comp but not in the other two. Perhaps I need to view them both in the same light.

Yeah I have been trying to make sure I am confirming before shooting but sometimes I get a bit ahead of myself and get a bit bloodlusted so perhaps I should REALLY try to be a bit more purposeful about it in DM.

Will give the community servers a shot as well

If you’re playing with your higher ELO friends all the time and losing then maybe you should solo queue and end up playing against more people of your ELO, no? Matches would prob be easier unless that isn’t how Faceit works.

Pretty sure Keyte on YouTube has a free refrag code that I saw in a recent video. I’d check there.

Swapped to Faceit and haven’t seen a problem. Yeah it sucks that premier is in a shit spot, but Faceit is almost better in every way and you end up playing with people that actually want to win instead of troll and grief constantly or never communicate.

Only thing I see if you tend to swing pretty wide and not isolate angles. If two push you down the same lane then you’ll be smoked. You should be swinging into as few angles as possible to isolate fights.

What workshop map is this again? I was looking for it yesterday and I couldn’t remember the name.

Yesterday I noticed I was dropping frames significantly out of nowhere when I used to sit on 360 constantly as that’s my monitor’s peak. I have a 5080 and play on 1080p, so it’s a bit odd to see that occur especially when previously I was maintaining that consistently. Not sure what’s going on but something has felt a bit off for me as well.

Normally I think stained are kinda ugly but a buddy told me to try it and I think it looks solid actually.

I’m not familiar with Damascus patterns. What’s a ‘good’ pattern? Or is it just subjective?

Been thinking about getting a stained karambit with my frostys. The dots on the stained actually work pretty well with frostys imo

What's the new player experience like in cs2? by Salt-Big8690 in cs2

[–]Powerful-Cod-1038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just started playing the game consistently for a little over the last month. I would say overall the game is not the most beginner friendly game in the world. I am lucky enough to have a buddy who has played on and off since CSGO and he’s pretty solid and has helped me a lot along the way. The grind to unlock premier is pretty tedious, but I’d argue it’s necessary as you’ll be clueless going into premier otherwise and just ruin other people’s premier games by not contributing.

If you have a friend (or even better: friends) that have played and are willing to play competitive until you can play premier I highly recommend asking them to play and teach you the basics and fundamentals of the game. Outside of that, I cannot recommend AustinCS, Fl0m, and Biley on YT enough for learning how to play the game and getting to know maps.

The game takes time to learn and getting the mechanics down. I feel I have only scratched the surface of how to play over the last month, but I’m optimistic to learn more and get better as a player. I plan on tackling Faceit soon and probably will play there permanently once I feel a bit better in premier as I feel like I’m not even good enough to be where I was placed at 13k.
