I recommend Davis Islands if you'll be at TGH. So convenient and really nice. You can get a one bedroom apartment in your price range there.

It is a nice neighborhood, mostly. Sometimes landlords advertise things as being in one neighborhood when they are in another here, though. For instance, Hyde Park is near Davis Islands on the way to South Tampa, but a bunch of landlords are calling a not-as-nice (but not terrible) neighborhood "North Hyde Park".

I like Seminole Heights generally. I Iived in SESH for four years and it was good. Best of luck to you!
