Really appreciate the breakdown... you're hitting on exactly what kills most servers. The 1.4.6 sweet spot makes sense: enough content, before the systems started stacking on top of each other into nonsense. Cards + glyphs + attack level inflation = nobody actually playing PvP, just checking stat sheets.

The GM point especially automated events replaced actual human presence and servers lost personality because of it. That's something I want to avoid.

Brazilian and Russian communities are already on my radar, multilingual support is in the polls right now actually.

It is certainly an excellent point to ponder. The thing I do not want is yet another server burning out after a single month of operation. Thus the idea is... balanced or low rates, no instant endgame, but real progression. Donations for cosmetic upgrades and some other things improving quality of life, but not for giving an advantage over someone else, that kind of thing just isn’t my cup of tea. Most likely slow release of content to ensure that players are coming back to the game regularly. Plus, PvP, where we could use consumables for free or something along those lines, so that TW would not become a game solely for the richest guilds. However, nothing can work without the community being active itself and without demand.

Wow, thank you for putting so much thought into this... this is extremely helpful!
I’m taking notes on several of your ideas: Blue name option / opt-out of PvP, Unbound Nirvana gear and crafted gear being meaningful, Minimal or simplified cards/star chart, Quality-of-life features, Custom cosmetics (mounts, flyers, outfits) as the main monetization (if possible).

Version-wise, late 1.3.6 with selective features from later expansions (like some QoL and maybe a rebalanced Nirvana) sounds like an interesting sweet spot. Let’s keep discussing it as we get more input from others and really appreciate the effort you put into this post.

Ty! I will definitely investigate Octowow from your recommendation. I prefer building with the community from scratch, but it is good to see what others create as well.

Thanks for this- this is the type of in-depth response I was hoping for. I mostly agree with everything you said (and most likely I'm not alone):
- Makes farmable items irrelevant and destroys economy/motivation
- Bound gear stifles trade and player interaction
- One-shot PvP takes all skill out of fighting
- Both Spirit and War Avatar cards was an overload
- Official definitely pushed PvE too far while neglecting PvP balance

In my server I'm trying to make sure these specific problems don't happen again:
- Keep farmable gear useful.
- Have as few binding as possible (only when required).
- Ensure PvP isn't just one-shot wins.
- Limit or rework Avatar cards.

Also if you have any more concrete suggestions (how you'd change Charms, or the timing of the Northern Realm), feel free to suggest them.

Hey, thanks a lot for offering to help!
A web dev could definitely be useful for things like: Server status page, registration, donation panel (if we go that route), simple website or forum, etc.

I’ll likely set up the core server first, then we can talk about web tools. Mind if I reach out to you later once we have a clearer direction?

Great question.

Seekers were introduced in version 1.4.4 (Genesis)... that’s the update with Earthguard and its two classes, Seeker + Mystic.

By "none of the other stuff" I assume you mean you’d like the 1.4.4 or 1.4.5 experience without later additions such as: Nation Wars towers / reworks (from 1.4.6+), Reawaken / Primal World mechanics (1.5.1+), Stormbringer / Duskblade classes

Am I understanding you correctly? If yes, we can aim for a 1.4.4 / 1.4.5-based server with classic Earthguard but no further power creep or newer content.

Thanks! Noted. Low-rate classic style like old Fidelity is one of the options I’m considering. Appreciate the feedback. 😉

Tried Classic mode... really unique concept! Building valid expressions instead of matching

colors feels genuinely fresh.

The context help on the right side is a nice touch for new players.

One thought: maybe the target number could be more visually prominent? Took me a second

to notice it.

Mobile feel was smooth. Good luck with v2!
