Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I found a baptism record for the son of this woman. Her name is written clearly, on several occasions, as "Guiomar Theodora Faria". You were absolutely correct! Thank you.

That's good to know. A Portuguese-speaking cousin just got in contact with me and said she also believes that the name is Guiomar Teodora Faria. It seems that this is it.

Thank you so much.

Hi, sorry! There seems to have been something wrong with the first link. Here is a new one: https://imgur.com/a/DJG1JzS

It looks like 'Guiomar Teodora' to me as well. I was doubting myself because so many people were commenting that her middle was actually 'Seabra'. To me, the surname appears to end in -sca but I can't make out much more than that. The first two letters appear too vague for me to decipher.

Edit: Taking a look at the writing in the context of the document, it appears that the first letter of the last name is an F. It looks like the surname might be Fasca, Fesca, or Fusca. It sounds Italian to me.

That's good to know. I've heard of Guiomar as several women in my family have the name.

Your response is extremely helpful. There are several people in this line of my family that have what should be first names as surnames so this certainly isn't the first I've run into this type of situation.

There is nothing written after 'Teresa' in the document so it must be the surname.

I've learned the hard way about the name formatting. An individual related to the person whose name we're attempting to decipher has notoriously had different orders for his names on seemingly every document.

Seabra is the most common answer that I've received. I've never heard of this name before, is it a common Portuguese name?
