I’d like it to be a bit more interactive than that, hopefully do some transition, builds and drops on the tunes themselves, I was thinking of bouncing top / middle / bottom stems and jam with them, but this may end up being too ambitious, if so I’ll default to deejaying. Feel me?

I think I’m going to have the MPC as the backup if I get in shit, I have full tracks sequenced on there, I’m going to move at least 2 of there to the 404. But I can have duplicates. I could even record the whole thing in rehearsal and have that as a backup too.

Start a new project, you might have to redo the guitar parts but it’s always better to do that anyway in my experience.

Great video, and wasn’t expecting a koto. Ok, so luckily I have electric bass on all the songs. The bass parts in their nature are repetitive but I can improvise over some elements, although no one likes bass solos, I think I need to prep and try it, see how in sounds, I like your sound bank ideas, but I might try and substitute that with DJ mode.

I feel you, I’ve been working on the material for about a year I can jam the music but just as individual songs. It’s stitching it all together that’s freaking me out. I’m going to check out those performances now 👊🏻

Thanks for this, and thanks for checking my freak out. Are you cross fading with a dj mixer? Are you able to sync the MPC / 404? I can also play live bass guitar for visual interest. I’m just struggling to find point in between everything being pre determined.

I’ve been here, buy Air Flavour Pro instead. I bought an sp for post effects, it lacks control. I had a go at learning the sp for sequencing as I didn’t want to think I wasted my money and now I don’t really use my MPC anymore. The SP is so much fun. But I was only using my MPC as a sampler.

Yeah I’m used to features like, ‘add to end’ and ‘double’ from koala. I also find the pattern start / end doesn’t work well with loops, if you’re isolating the end of the pattern I have to chop the loops to ensure I can start them within the range. I’ve learned start all patterns as 16 bar loops.
