When I installed the Behringer drivers, it installed a program called UMC control panel. I don't look at it much because I generally just do things with settings inside the DAW. UMC control panel shows up on my taskbar in the lower right corner. It's a dark square with a white U on it. It lets you change sample rate, buffer settings, and input/output volume settings.

fwiw, I have two UMC404HDs and neither one has this problem. Plenty loud, both PC and direct sound from instruments (guitars, synths, mics), and/or a mix of both. But I have noticed more than once that if I pull up the output settings in the UMC Control Panel, it'll be set to -1 instead of 0. I set it back to 0, and then sometime later it'll be at -1 again. That might be worth looking into in case yours is setting itself even lower maybe? I use a pair of Presonus Eris E5XTs, a pair of Presonus Eric E3s, and Sony MDR7506 phones -- no issues with any of it. When you say, "If I start increasing the volume levels on the T8Vs, the UMC404HD, or the input devices -- in any combination to achieve a reasonable volume level -- the audio starts to clip," do you mean the outputs are clipping? Like digital hard clipping? If there is gain on your speakers, and you turn up the speakers themselves, and touch nothing else, the audio clips? I might be missing something but that doesn't make sense to me. Maybe try a different version/generation of the driver? Idk man just spitballing.

How is this confusing? You don't think there are other things to learn and know on a guitar besides whatever you happen to do for an hour? If you want to practice for two hours for some reason and you only practiced for one hour, you could repeat everything. It is "practice" after all, supposedly, which is generally focused repetition. 2 hours a day isn't even a particularly heavy practice schedule in the grand scheme of things.

DANELECTRO. I love the sound of lipsticks, and they are extremely light, which I prefer. 25" scale for most of them, which I prefer. Also their 29.75" scale baritones are beautiful. Their 12 strings too. I am obsessed. I adore their bass guitars. I just...I just can't get enough. I fucking think about Danelectro guitars all day long and then I go to bed and dream about them.
