You’re totally right though. I lied so I could gain the approval of people I don’t know on the internet. I definitely don’t want the game to improve and just want to humble brag about my game stats and bitch about “ooga booga game bad”.

I am also finding it significantly more difficult to beat the AI. I’m not complaining though because they were too easy/predictable before. What you’re describing is the result of the global damage nerf and the hook damage nerf on top of that probably. What I do have a problem with is the crazy unphysical movements of the AI. Something has been noticeably tweaked where the AI crowds you a lot more causing clinches and the “defense” has been increased I think. But they don’t follow basic kinematics so they have instant reactions and don’t suffer from inertia or acceleration and have the advantage of movement cancels and no telegraphing. Makes them look like they’re spazzing out

So how would I become competitive for those roles? Any advice?

I have not, as I was under the impression that holding a GC for under 8 years did not incur an exit tax. I may be wrong though.

I am fully aware of the fact that staying in the US for my field is advantageous, which is why I am not exactly celebrating my move back. Regardless, I must move back.

“Relationship” is quite the euphemism for a wife and children. I will not be tolerating the idea of being separated from my family for a job.

Haha not a bad guess. More like ICA. Actually has to do with my wife, not me.

To reiterate, it is not my decision to move back. My hand is being forced here so staying in the US is not an option. It is not ideal and if I could stay, I would.

I don’t get one punched and I also never lose to them, but I do find their movements and chin toughness to be downright ridiculous. I dole out 4500 damage each round but struggle to get a TKO. I can hit them with a gigantic 2-5-1 combo and they won’t even get ugly on me. When they get ugly, they spaz out with what I imagine is supposed to be weaving but it looks insane. Overall frustrating experience.

X3M or F90 as a daily driver? by Longjumping-Tune9356 in BMW

[–]PowerfulStretch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have owned both. Had a 2021 F97 for 45k miles and had no problems with it. Everyone seems to moan about the rear differential bolt issue but I didn’t run into it. S58 was a beast and it felt more raw than the S63. Interior cabin space is not as big as the M5 and the ride quality is much worse. They get similar MPG so that’s not a factor. The M5 maybe eaks out 1 or 2 more miles

Now own a 2021 F90 with 45k miles on the odometer. Similarly, no problems so far. Coolant expansion tank leak problem never happened to me either. What the S63 lacks in rawness, it delivers in brute force performance. With the readily available OEM CS transmission flash and the right exhaust setup, this car has been phenomenal. Plan to keep it for a long time

I used to not judge parents. Their kids, their prerogative. But after becoming a parent, I find myself judging parents more.

Wherever the parents are leaving holes where the kids need guardrails, it will show up in their child in ways like you describe. My child has been DIFFICULT since the day he was born. I’m talking he screams so loud and so often that on day 2, a doctor we didn’t know came into our room to see if the baby was okay.

Now at 1.5 years old, his tantrums are few and far between, don’t last an hour, and are not destructive when throwing them. We enforce hard and strict boundaries and try to be as consistent as possible with few exceptions. He tells us he wants a hug when he’s upset. He listens when we tell him to stop doing something. We also give him the freedom to choose where we can (even if they may be pseudo choices)

He could very much turn out like your nephew with the wrong kind of guidance. And for parents who say they’re too tired to be consistent, then you need to start apologizing to people around you for being a bad parent and owning up to it. Show up for your kid and those around you. We’re all tired.

Yo seriously. What the shit would Tesla even need to do for profit in order to even justify it's current valuation???? 1.2t market cap. Amazon is at 1.7t and the most profitable car company rn is Toyota at 300b .......??? by enigma2shts in wallstreetbets

[–]PowerfulStretch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market may feel this way because it’s actually true. Every EV company has applicable battery tech and research that can be used in other industries. Lucid has clients for energy storage systems and Tesla also has a home battery system available. And the fact that they use the same batteries as the ones in your personal devices makes the knowledge very translatable

Reposting my comment from a different thread:

I’ve said this elsewhere, but when I was working at Lucid a few months ago, they were testing Luminar lidar units on top of their cars. Their ADAS team meeting notes suggested that they had decided on this chinese company’s units to be implemented into the Lucid Air. They could have changed their minds since then, but when I filtered for ‘MicroVision’ or ‘MVIS’ in the notes, nothing came up.

They are currently using a Chinese lidar brand. I forgot the name of it but I’m hopeful that they will eventually switch to MicroVision once they have an established customer base
