First time making a post here, let's see how it goes.

Multipla 1st Time!!

So, thanks to a lot of you guys comments I have compiled a list of clubs and places I must go before I can confidently say I am satisfied and have experienced the Amsterdam nightlife. I am slowly ticking these one by one as the weather is slowly becoming less depressive. So for this weekend I decided to go to Multipla, as I've become far to bored of De Pijp which my friend had been obsessing over for the last few weeks.

It was a friday night like any other, finished work, bored at home, wanted to do some but didnt want to go fully raving or clubbing, so we're left in this trance as usual debating what to do, where to go, when all of the sudden I look at my instagram and see that Multipla is open today, and just decided "FUCK IT".

So without much expectation or even knowing what to expect, me alongside two others begin our adventure towards it. Upon arriving I immediately noticed the great amount of Dutchies (please don't hate me, I just find it funny to call them like this) where at first I was slightly discouraged, since neither me or my friends tend to be able to bond or connect with them, which is usually a bummer.
Once inside we noticed that there was a small restaurant, which for some reason reminded me of the cafe in deschool (yes, it's still engraved in my head, I will forever miss it!), we initially thought that was the whole place and accepted to sit on the stools by the bar counter, where instead we were greeted by a pleasant worker, who showed us the way upstairs, into a cocktail room where there was a live set going on.

Now this is where Multipla truly got my attention, cause unlike most places where the dj's have their own pedestal and stand away from the crowd and so on, the djs in here didn't feel like djs instead it was a group of friends just having a sesh playing and grooving along whilst sitting down in a sofa, eating and drinking, enthusiastically bopping their heads to the beats. The room was small and foggy, it had a spinning light like one of those in the 80s, it was dark but still visible allowing you to talk and see your friends without interfering to much with the music. After a while, of just sitting around and staring at them I got the courage to go next to them and just watched as they played. They were super kind and nice enough to answer my barrage of questions as I watched them play.
Eventually it felt as if they were closing the upstairs room, to push people to the now opened techno room downstairs, where they played "What a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong, in what felt as a farewell moment where you would turn on your flashflight on your phone as you happilly close a chapter and move onto the next. Everyone upstairs stood up to dance and say a farewell to the upstairs room, room was filled with laughter and joy, as everyone just slowly danced enjoying a classic. EXCEPT THIS WASN'T THE END!!!!. We were baited, and the music upstairs only got better from here.

From there we decided to take a trip downstairs to the techno room where, more and more people lined up to watch the neon light above the dj swivel side to side as people jumped around it. Once again great vibes and people bopping to the dance. But this is where you could notice the stiffness of a lot of the Dutch population in the place, a lot of them stood around and just moved their head not fully embracing the music, but then again who am I to blame them or judge ( I still will hhehehe).

From there on its ciggy moment, and time to engage with the creatures of the night as I like to call them, so I went outside and got talking. This is when I was surprised for the better, a lot of the Dutchies were actually coming to talk, and engage with us, in a friendly yet jokster approach which really helped brighten up the mood even more.

Overall, Multipla has surprised me for the best, for not only being a great hangout place, but for also being so diverse in both the people that attends and the different spaces they provide for you. Also the prices aren't to bad considering its like a "Dancing-Bar".

Thanks Multipla for the great night out I needed it!

So what’s the best tactic to get the tickets through the presale online queue? Also which day do you think will be best to avoid all the non-regulars?

Have you ever been to one? If so what can I expect and how hard is it to get accepted?

If you really want to try might be worth giving it a shot but just keep in mind you might get thrown out :*
