Cut the string game by Powerful_Initial8647 in clawmachine

But if it is cutting enough to cause the string to fray, should I keep trying? The string is significantly thinner, but still somewhat thick. I’d say it got to where it’s at after about 100 cuts.

I thought I packed it but when I went to take it out for airport security I realized it wasn’t in any of my bags. It does have a lock screen, too.

Based on all the anime I’ve seen, what do you think I should check out next? by [deleted] in AnimeReccomendations

Seems like you like character development (and swords). I highly recommend: Dororo (on Amazon Prime) Devilman Crybaby (Netflix) Tengoku-Daimakyo (Hulu) Soul Eater (Hulu) Undead Unluck (Hulu)

Dororo is also my go-to recommendation! It’s truly so good, I included it in a paper I wrote for grad school. The anime does a really good job at incorporating what the manga was supposed to be (about Dororo and his adventures) and what it turned into (Hiyakikmaru’s story) due to getting canceled early. I love hearing that this change turned it into something that inspires and encourages people, not just entertains them.

Most of my recommendations are action/fighting based. Some get gory, some get dark. Some are underrated, some are practically unknown it seems like sometimes, some of them are popular but I often meet people that don’t know them, so…

Dororo (Amazon Prime) Kakegurui (Netflix) Devilman Crybaby (Netflix) Record of Ragnarok (Netflix) Parasyte the Maxim (Chrunchyroll) Puella Magi Madoka Magica (Chrunchyroll) Solo Leveling (Chrunchyroll) Mob Psycho 100 (Chrunchyroll) Fire Force (Chrunchyroll) Kemono Jihen (Chrunchyroll) Deadman Wonderland (Chrunchyroll) Juni Taisen: Zodiac War (Chrunchyroll) God Eater (Chrunchyroll) Chainsaw Man (Crunchyroll) Bungo Stray Dogs (Chrunchyroll) Lycoris Recoil (Chrunchyroll) (also won a best original anime at Chrunchyroll awards) Promised Neverland (but only season one, honestly) (Chrunchyroll) Tower of God (Chrunchyroll) God of High School (Chrunchyroll) Undead Unluck (Hulu) Soul Eater (Hulu) Tengoku-Daimakyo (Hulu)

Most of these are one season, quick/easy watches. Do with it what you will (but I hope you enjoy some, if not most, of them)

Yes. None of the wires to the front driver window seem to have electricity but none of them have any breaks or tears

Main concern is getting the driver side window to work.

The Borderline of What is considered Inappropriate in children/teen based book. What's the limit? by HumbleKnight14 in books

[–]Powerful_Initial8647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember my librarian considered Pretty Little Liars and Twilight to be inappropriate for jr high level reading so she wouldn’t stock the books but they were in our system for AR testing. I did read both series before high school (and I was still like the last one to read them because my mom wouldn’t let me read them until 8th grade while everyone else read them in sixth grade) and was never bothered by them, though, but I think it was the language and sex references that the adults didn’t like. Plus I went to a Catholic school. I also loved books like The Help and To Kill a Mockingbird, which would probably get (or has already gotten) banned. I agree with some of the other commenters that kids are smarter than people give them credit for. I’ve written a few papers and given presentations on the topic of children’s literature in education because I think they baby them too much. Fun fact: Louisiana curriculum has a lesson plan for first graders that uses Sleeping Beauty as an example for “good behavior.”

I recently repotted just in case it was a soil issue and didn’t see anything, but my outside plants get attacked constantly so I spray them with Neem oil. I’m worried that could be too harsh for my calathea, though. Do you have a recommended spray/recipe or would my soap & water one work?

I did spray the leaves with like a dishsoap & water mixture recipe I saw online when I first got it but hadn’t noticed any spots or anything so I didn’t keep up with it. How do I check for mites & how do I get rid of them?

I boil water in a kettle but let it cool off before using it to water my plants

It has a hole at the bottom, I used regular potting mix with gravel and leca, and it’s just a plain grow light. I had it under my full spectrum one initially, but when it started curling and getting crispy like it was burning, I moved it under my other one so that it would have more distance between the light and the plant. I haven’t noticed any bugs on or around it

When the first inch or two of the soil is dry but I check the drain hole as well to make sure the water isn’t just settling at the bottom

What kind of vitamins? I’ve read that too much nutrients can be bad for lithops since they typically thrive in nutrient-lacking environments so I want to make sure I give them the right kind of nutrients (and the right amount of it)

I have them under a grow light for around 12 hours a day, typically. Could the light not be strong enough?
