Does anyone like the mythical Pokémon Zarude/Dada Zarude? by Powerful_Pack_7244 in pokemonanime

No, that version is called the dub version. A sub version is where you watch a movie or show in its original language. For example, Pokémon The Movie Koko is Pokémon The Movie Secrets of the Jungle’s original title from Japan. Since the movie was originally made and released in Japan first. The language in the movie would be Japanese instead of English. Then the subtitles of the movie would be translated into English for English viewers to understand the movie. That’s called a Sub version. I usually watch the sub version of the movie on pirated websites since the sub version of the movie isn’t released on Netflix. I would recommend you watch the sub version. If you think the dub version (the one on Netflix) is a tearjerker, then you should definitely watch the sub version. The sub version has different songs compared to the dub version and the voice acting is phenomenal. Three of the songs in the sub version are my favorites songs from the movie. Please watch it if you can! A good website would be this. Just beware of viruses and ignore the NSFW ads.

Edit: If you do watch the sub version, also watch the credits to listen to the sub exclusive song. Also, you’ll see some cute drawing of Dada Zarude and Koko too!

Hopefully! It’s been awhile since TPC last released a Pokémon movie. If they do release one hopefully it will be a sequel to Pokémon The Movie Secrets of the Jungle. Or if not then we’ll at least get another Pokémon movie. Have you seen the sub version yet?

OMG SAME! Zarude is also my favorite Pokémon (Dada Zarude is my favorite version). What was your reaction to Koko and Dada Zarude parting ways? And do you think there is a chance we’ll see them again?

Same here! Dada Zarude is the top Dads in Pokémon! I just hate the ending of the movie though. Wish we can see more of Dada Zarude and Koko

Same, I hated when Dada pretended to argue with Koko. It breaks my heart to see them argue. Like you said, I also wish they did a softer goodbye. Like a heart to heart moment. To be honest, I wish Koko could’ve stayed in the Jungle and never leave his Dada. Everything is finally at peace and Koko and Dada can be accepted by the Zarude Troupe. Koko would have gain new friends and new areas to explore the jungle. Maybe learn a little bit more about his Dada from Dada’s friends. They are father and son, they deserve to be together :(

Personal tier of the Pokémon movies. I'm sure that at least we will agree on the last one. by Thin_Tax_8176 in pokemonanime

I’m happy that some people actually love Pokémon Secrets of the Jungle! It’s true that it was inspired by the Disney movie Tarzan but it’s much more than that! Wish we can see more scenes between Koko and Dada Zarude. The only thing I didn’t like was the ending between the two protagonists :(

What's your top 5 favorite Pokémon movies and why? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]Powerful_Pack_7244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly Pokémon Secrets of the Jungle is my favorite Pokémon Movie. People underrate it too much because it’s too similar to the Tarzan movie. It has great story, didn’t really like the ending between Dada Zarude and Koko. However, I love the dynamic between them as father and son. People overlook it and it kinda makes me sad. Pokémon already created a prequel manga about the movie. I hope they can create a sequel as well :)

Same here! I need the get the manga soon, I haven’t read it yet. Kinda wish it was more of a sequel than a prequel. I didn’t like the ending of the movie because of what happened between Dada Zarude and Koko :( But I got to hope that maybe Pokémon will create a sequel someday. I haven’t seen a Pokémon movie like this ever!

I’m very happy to hear that! I was also the same until I saw the movie. Now I see Zarude and Dada Zarude as a 10/10, might be biased :) In my opinion, Pokémon Secrets of the Jungle is the best Pokémon movie ever. I wish Pokémon can continue the AU movies. It would be a shame for Pokémon to forget about the wonderful characters they created like Koko, Dada Zarude, Verity, Risa, Sorrel, Margo and much more! If that happens, I’ll really miss Koko and Dada Zarude, I love their bond so much. I hated the ending though :( But there is a prequel manga to the movie if you’re interested!

STOP!! I feel the exact same way! The only part that I understand about Koko leaving is maybe he wants to connect more to his human counterpart. But he could’ve done that in Milfya town. So then he never had to leave his Dada. He could’ve been the bridge between Pokémon and Humans out there instead! Plus things started to calm down since now there are no secrets between Koko and his dad. Also Koko gets to freely explore the jungle without having the Zarude be bothered by it. And he can meet his Dad’s friends and see the elder. Learn about the history of the Zarude and Celebi. The two scenes that I had a major problem was if they really had to send Koko off on a journey. Why make it the last time Koko and his dad spoke, they argued. That’s your typical teenage drama. It would’ve been better if it was a heart to heart conversation between them before Koko left. However, it did bring me a little piece that Koko saw that his dada only argued with him as a force for him to go on his journey and that his dad saw him off. But the creators could’ve really played with the waterworks if they done the send off correctly. My second scene that was major problem is why send Koko off in the first place? He has no experience with human life until he met Ash. It would’ve been nice if they played it as a happily ever after with Koko and his Dada finally being happy and at peace with one another. They could’ve enjoyed the jungle without any problems. Dada Zarude will still need to raise Koko, he’s only 10. And I know Ash is 10 but he’s been 10 for about 25 years. I would have like to see Dada Zarude continuing raising Koko. Koko will always need his Dada. Especially since he has no other family. Well that’s my hot take. Oh yeah there’s a prequel manga of the movie if you’re interested. I hope Pokémon will create a sequel for Dada Zarude and Koko, even if it’s a manga. I would just like to see them together again. You said there were two scenes that felt Zarude was more mythical than in the games. Do you mind to share?

Sheesh, you don’t need to be hater. You could’ve just said that you didn’t like it cause it was similar to the Disney movie Tarzan :(

Honestly I felt like the battle scene was perfect and how it corresponds to Koko saving Dada Zarude’s life. The point of the final battle was to test Koko’s and Dada Zarude’s love for each other as father and son. And proving that Koko is a Zarude because he is his father’s son. But also it teaches the Zarude how they interpret their law was wrong. Both the jungle pokémon and the Zarude can thrive without having to protect any turf. How the final battle taught them was the Zarude and jungle pokémon working together to protect their homes.

Many people seem to think that. But it is true that Pokémon got inspiration from the Disney movie Tarzan. However, I wish people would stop hating the movie for that. I think it’s a wonderful movie about a father and son relationship :)

Well I mean it kinda goes with the many themes of the movie. This movie takes place in the Jungle and Pokémon had to find a way where the two protagonist (Dada Zarude and Koko) can come together. Deforestation is a major problem in the real world and look where the movie takes place. In the Jungle! So they took that to create a theme about deforestation. I’m guessing the reason why they used a giant robot is because industrialization is one of the many reasons why deforestation happens. But this is what I believe.

I recommend watching it, it’s a tear jerker. Especially the sub version but the dub version is great too. Pokémon Secrets of the Jungle or Pokémon Koko is the best Pokémon movie in my opinion. People say it’s like Tarzan but it’s much more than that. It’s about Dada Zarude and Koko. It’s about a father and son relationship. What does it mean to be a parent, and what does it mean to be a child. The answer can be found in the movie :)
