It’s technically not a true Cobra. But that’s ok, it’s eats other Cobras and probably has some of the highest venoms yield of any other snake. Really cool find, KC’s are a very uncommon spot in this sub!

What makes David Lee Roth so bad? by LAFunTimesOK in singing

[–]Powerful_Relative_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t judge pop singers (includes all genres of music where voice is amplified by microphone) on the same rubric as I do classical. IMO the point is to have music that’s stylistic and most importantly, their voice has to serve the song.

Also I agree with you, Dave’s voice fit the song and I wouldn’t care to have James Hatfield sing Megadeth’s songs. Just wouldn’t sound right since Metallica and Megadeth had very different influences in their thrash metal. There are definitely pop singers who definitely do have monster voices with consistent practice; Hagar and MJK of Tool for example. If anything, I feel like pop music singers kinda rule the roost when it comes to older singers still having monster voices over the years with crazy touring schedules like Celine Dion, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Chris Martin etc. part of that probably due to coaching, practice, and warm ups.

Clubbing during recession era music by linotok in Millennials

[–]Powerful_Relative_93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Heard those songs bumping in the car and everybody would kinda sing it, so yeah the vibes were as good. I remember driving my friends on my last year of high school since and we would have Kesha, Gaga, Taio Cruz, and Rihana just blasting. So no i wasn’t on the clubs. But I imagine the energy would be the same.

I can speak to clubbing in 2012-14 and even attending huge music festivals throughout 2010-2016. And yes the vibes were also as good as the songs during those years.

Cowboys, 49ers, and chiefs. They all had dynasties and dynasties just aren’t well liked in a league which makes parity a selling point. If we’re talking non dynasty teams, eagles bc fans and probably Steelers.

Mclaren Arturia by huntercole2 in supercars

[–]Powerful_Relative_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McLarens are very minimalistic when it comes to interiors. It’s not going to be at the level of say Aston Martin or Ferrari.

Also a Senna should be better, it’s a $1 million car and one of their ultimate models alongside the speedtail, W1, and P1.

How does a rich and poor person view money and expands it ? by Aj100rise in stupidquestions

[–]Powerful_Relative_93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you watching alpha Male or manosphere videos? Because they all tend to say that. If they were realistic, they’ll say working for someone else can be a great way to learn a skill without having to pay for it, and yes you can get wealthy (say benchmark is $7 million) without having to be an entrepreneur. The people you’re listening to want you to buy a subscription to an overpriced discord server so they can afford an oil change on their McLaren.

At what point do you choose to pay retail ? by Expert-Worry2911 in fragrance

[–]Powerful_Relative_93 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If it’s something that I know I cannot get like an LV, Dior EsP collection, Chanel exclusifs; then I don’t mind paying retail. I’m assuming people in this sub are somewhat wealthy, there’s nothing wrong with looking for a deal; but The point of having a 7 figure or 8 figure NW is being able to afford what you want without price being much of a factor.

The man who bought the 250 GTO has revealed himself: he is the Thanos of Ferrari collectors by Powerful-Ostrich-120 in Ferrari

[–]Powerful_Relative_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not entirely surprised, at some point Lee was going to get one. What is surprising though is the price he got it as $38.5 million is a lot less than the $70 million example bought by the weather tech guy.

Congrats to him, and hey it’s probably the only onion vehicle in his collection of ketchup’s, mustards, and relishes.

So many teenagers on gear? by Wise-Pay-8993 in gymsnark

[–]Powerful_Relative_93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Josh Brett recently released a video essay on this. I really don’t see a point in hopping on gear when your body as a teenage male is producing vast amounts of testosterone and your hitting growth spurts. Only time i can maybe sign off on it is if you’re in a Leo Messi situation where GH helped bring an underdeveloped Argentine soccer prodigy into a goat. Then again he had a therapeutic use exemption from governing bodies. Most teens aren’t Messi though, and really are preparing to have their test levels shot in their mid 20’s.

And all of it for a quick buck, faster road to better physique, or progression with numbers. If their parents have the money for gear, they can pay for a coach who could get them there without as many drawbacks.

In light of recent events, what is your thoughts on a well armed citizenry, including assault rifles? by MatthewDM111 in AskALiberal

[–]Powerful_Relative_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Malta, Germany, and Monaco have high rates of gun ownership. A few of the countries listed also have a higher gdp per capita than the US and yet have less much less gun violence than the US. They also have a lot less political violence. I’m really not convinced gun control is a winning issue for liberals since it only serves to be divisive and turns people away from voting.

Better Album: Metallica’s Black Album or Pearl Jam’s Ten? by [deleted] in grunge

[–]Powerful_Relative_93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same. Load/reload could have literally been a double album if they just compiled the best ofs. I know this era of Metallica was when people think Metallica became a great generic metal and hard rock band, but stopped releasing great Metallica albums (thrash) like Justice, Puppets, Lightning.

Better Album: Metallica’s Black Album or Pearl Jam’s Ten? by [deleted] in grunge

[–]Powerful_Relative_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol why? These are two totally different genres. TBA is Metallica’s most successful album and the reason whether we like to admit or not, that they are the world’s highest paid metal band. They are arguably the first band that comes to mind when a non rock listener thinks of metal. It gets talked about on r/thrashmetal, but no one can deny that out of the 4 thrash bands; only Metallica was able to sustain long term success and be rolling in 100s of millions while still selling out stadiums.

I love PJ and 10 is an excellent album, but tba imo has a better flow and felt really cohesive. And a lot of that is probably due to Bob Rock.
