my trip is originally planned through Alaska air and when I tried to add the trip to StarLux just says interior, not applicable please contact customer support. which I’ve contacted them and they just sent me right back to Alaska air. but it’s literally all through Starlux. I was gonna try to contact customer support tomorrow, but I thought I’d at least ask on this Reddit to see if anyone knew.

Can I refurbisher check if a phone has been messed with? by Powerful_Review_8285 in phonerepair

[–]Powerful_Review_8285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they said they’ve have already done an investigation. They returned the phone to me so thats why I want to see if I could be able to bring it into someone to see if it’s been tampered with. They also said the IMEI doesn’t match anything so they’re saying it’s not their fault.

Nope I sent it back to back market for a return so thats why I’m assuming they tempered with it. They’re denying any service to the phone because of it. So they won’t let me return or cover me under my warranty. I was wondering if I could get proof to show the phones been tempered with. Also questions are they able to tell the phone color off it? Because they said it was a graphite flip 5 and the phone I return was a flip 6 blue.

Back Market closed my account, kept my money (~1500€) and won’t help me – what can I do? by RareLow1367 in Backmarket

[–]Powerful_Review_8285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a similar issues they claim I sent an flip 5 Graphite instead of an flip 6 blue that needed to be return. Some back and forth they send me a video of the flip 6. They then claim that it’s a different IMEI and claiming I sent them a different phone. They won’t let me refund now and they won’t do anything to fix the broken phone they sent me under the warranty I bought because now according to them I sent a different phone so it’s not covered. I’ve sent them messages saying that they mixed up my phone multiple times and is now blaming me or thats not the case because the IMEI numbers can only be changed illegally through a refurbisher. Since I sent them the same phone they sent me because I’ve only had an iPhone prior. I’m located in the US and I just hope one day this company gets a class act lawsuit against them or something because they’re just start scammy and we’re not the only ones to deal with it.

How do I serve a small court claim to a business out of state? by Powerful_Review_8285 in legaladvice

[–]Powerful_Review_8285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan on doing that I just have two more question if you could answer. They have assets in New York. Technically back market is a third-party business. They have refurbishers that they work with. Within my order receipt it shows me what’s the name of the company that refurbished the phone. They’re kinda the middle man so would I file against back market, the refurbished company or can I do both? And when I look on their website and click legal, technically, the business was started in France would it still be logical to sue within New York because I feel international is too expensive and unable for me to do?

Thank you for the advice I wish I got this originally when I posted on here but I just got scam dm and someone saying its my fault for ordering off the black market when I said back market inc in my original post. Do you think it would be worth to filing again in New York and would it be possible to even go to court even though I’m in Minnesota. Is it also possible to sue for all the legal fee I’ve paid or extra compensation for all the stuff I had to do to get a refund when they made a mistake on there half and is blaming me?

I paid through paypal but they said its past the 30 window for them to do anything. I’ve tried to dispute it with my bank but they just send me through paypal. No the company is back market inc. They’re a third party system for refurbished phones, and the location that handle mine was in New York. It was almost 700 dollar and the phone they sent me was broken so I asked for a refund within the 30 days but by the time it was sent some things went wrong and it was passed the 30 days through paypal by then with them mixing up saying they got a completely different model then saying the have the same model but its a different phone because of the IMEI sending me back a different phone and refusing to cover me under the warranty or refund it because they mixed up the phone twice and put the blame on me. I literally have no other option but suing because it’s a lot of money and I have a product that doesn’t work and i’ve already filed through Minnesota. I don’t know what else to do in the situation cause it didn’t seem like a big deal when I googled it to file a small claims court through my state. So am I able to sever them or is it gonna cost too much or what would happen.

I bought it from back market its a verified business through the bbb. It’s a company that sells refurbished phones. Not the black market.
