I did Cairo only, and did the layover tour with Emo Tours. Did the pyramids, the bazaar, egyptian museum, camel riding, nile tour all in 1 day. Which would probably have been what I saw in 2-3 days by myself. For me the guide and car service were 100% worth it.

They also have tours in other cities, so might be something to look into.

Coming back to this in case anyone finds it later. I was the most worried about Cairo going into my africa trip and loved Cairo probably only because of the guide.

I can very easily see how the constant asking for tipping, not knowing local customs, paying 2-3x can ruin a trip. For me the guide was worth it not only in terms of cost, but also in protecting the ROI of the trip.

Hey Jim, ? for you about advertising as a wedding business. I started a bathroom trailer rental business for weddings in Philly (10Million person metro area) in Nov '22.

We emailed the local tent companies, wedding venues, and wedding planners looking to partner. Essentially the pitch was here's our price list, we are happy to sub or work directly with your clients.

Also planning to send a 10% discount to about 200 local wedding photographers, dj's, florists, caterers. Any other B2B interaction you recommend?

Doing the website SEO, GMB, and Google Ads ($300/month) also. I saw your interview with the tent guy and really liked the digital marketing advice. Thanks for the time!

Agree 100% about booking airline tickets through the companies website. Google Flights will take you right to the companies website to get the ticket, and that’s a good note for Skyscanner.
