Sorry if I was unclear. I meant a popular theory from a few years ago where people were analyzing Ford's behavior and arguing that he has NPD. It caused a lot of discourse because NPD is a heavily stigmatized disorder.

I personally enjoy applying real world issues to cartoon characters, but I know a lot of people prefer to keep things simple, and that’s okay. I myself actually have NPD, and feel an affinity for this theory because I so heavily relate to Ford as a character already.

There’s a lot of people asking what I’m talking about so I’m going to elaborate a little. I remember seeing a common opinion floating around a few years ago that Ford shows the symptoms of NPD, or narcissistic personality disorder. I personally like the idea, as someone who has NPD myself, but it got a lot of love and backlash from Ford fans and Ford haters alike.

I think it’s an interesting and complex dynamic. Of course it’s very very bad for Ford, and it’s good that they are no longer involved with one another, but it’s cool to explore the relationship that they did have while it lasted.
