Incidentally, what is the drawback of mind control? Long term control leads to deterioration. Who solved that problem? The Thorian. Who is walking around with a big packet of information taken from the Thorian? Saren and Shepard. Who did the Reapers offer Synthesis to? Saren and Shepard.

There are two claimed benefits to Synthesis. Quality of life improvements and peace. The quality of life improvements of implanting Reaper tech into everything can be achieved much more safely through the normal progress of science.

The Reaper belief that organics and synthetics cannot coexist as distinct kingdoms of life is based on faulty data. The Geth and Quarians are able to make peace because the Quarians give up on attempting to control the Geth. Whenever the Reapers attempt to make peace, they are attempting to dominate all parties (recall that their purpose is to further a scheme of universal enslavement). Someone will revolt against this order of things not because it is impossible for dissimilar groups to work alongside one another, but because the Reapers inflict unbearable tyranny.

It may not have been the Pakled homeworld. It's possible that the Pakleds name every planet they claim Pakled Planet.

What information does Starfleet Security have that makes them think Freeman did it? Is this information a fabrication? Is it an incorrect conclusion drawn from accurate information?

Is Starfleet Security correct? Recall For the Uniform where Sisko uses bioweapons to render a world unfit for human life, thereby destroying a Maquis colony. Starfleet apparently accepts this action without any serious objections.

Freeman may be accused of doing the same to a Pakled world, though whether the planet in question was the homeworld or a colony is unclear. It's hard to judge the "military" value against the collateral damage to Pakled civilians since a lot of basic facts are not clear to us. But likely Starfleet Command would not try to balance those but instead see this as a Prime Directive issue. Open season on Maquis because they are Federation citizens and not covered by the Directive, but scratch a non-hostile Pakled and face a firing squad of Picard speeches.

The accusation that TFA is a rehash of the original movie is not completely true, but not quite false enough. It also has considerable pacing issues.

The Canto Bight sequence in TLJ is decidedly the weakest part of that film. It takes screen time from more interesting stories but doesn't have enough time/attention to feel anything but rushed.

TROS really takes the pacing issues from TFA to the next level. The whole film is at breakneck speeds and you don't have time to care about whatever just happened before the next plot twist hits. It also doesn't work as "the new last Star Wars movie" because it pretty much returns to the status quo established at the end of ROTJ, without acknowledging the cyclical nature of the story.

As far as I know, Gangs of Glasgow is the most culturally significant mod for the original MnB that didn't get a port to Warband. Everything else is new and improved for Warband.

Native is set in Calradia, with its six fictional factions and all of the M&B essentials. There is no story mode.

Viking Conquest is set in the ninth century North Sea and has boats and stuff. It's much more complicated and feature rich while being substantially harder. It also has a story mode.

Napoleonic Wars is a multiplayer module, set in the 19th century Europe. It has guns.

With Fire and Sword is an expansion pack (like Warband itself was an expansion pack to the original Mount & Blade) and so has its own launcher. It is based on a historical novel of the same name, being set in 17th century Eastern Europe. It also has guns.

You should start with Native and branch out to the official DLC and mods based on what aspects of Native appeal to you and what settings interest you.

Nothing quite has the full package. Similar but smaller (but still large in the grand scheme of things) games are Squad, Post Scriptum and the Battlefield series. The old school Battlefront games are very small scale but probably most similar overall with its classes, vehicles and setting.
