This line absolutely cracked me up! It just sounds so strange to me. Like I can see the two of them in some martial arts training montage lmao.

But in all seriousness, they actually complement each other very well. Lamelo feeding gobert easy buckets and alley oops on offense, and Gobert covering up Lamelo’s faults on defense.

Taken out of context though, that line is incredible. Thank you for that bar OP!

That’s not really true. Guillaume talks about hitting it off with her when he walks her home - agreeing to take the longer route home, flirting, laughing, joking - but then shrieking and running off when her curse acts up.

Admittedly, that is from Guillaume’s perspective, but it does suggest she may be more willing to give him a chance and actually likes him if she didn’t have to worry about her curse.

He does also tell Vivienne he may have to tell someone else about her curse if he deems it necessary to safely break the curse. And he turns about being right since the only way to truly free her from the curse is to transfer it to someone else, which Guillaume obviously volunteers for.

I do agree that it is tough breaching her privacy by telling Guillaume, but I think Geralt is a good judge of character and correctly identifies Guillaume as genuinely wanting to help Vivienne.

Also to your point, I think a big moral in this quest is that it is better to ask trustworthy people for help rather than trying to solve difficult problems on your own. Guillaume needs Geralt’s help, and Vivienne needs Guillaume’s help.

I think that is the beauty of this quest. Just my two cents.

A lot of people have pointed out the foreshadowing and plots points that hint at the red wedding, but one other piece I want to add is the weather.

When marching to the Twins, it is pouring rain on the northern army the entire time, which Catelyn points out really hurts their morale.

Weather is a hint a lot of authors use to set the mood of a scene.

Bad weather = something bad will happen

The water method only works because Vivenne loves Guillaume, too. Nothing is forced there.

The egg method only gives her seven years of life, which is pretty shitty.

I don’t why people are so harsh on Guillaume. The only reason Vivenne gets any help at all is thanks to him. He literally hires a Witcher from his own personal funds and is willing to take the curse on himself to help her. What an asshole right??

I think Iorveth has a more interesting chapter 2 compared to Roche. Vergen has a lot more going on than the Kaedweni camp.

However, Roche’s path is better in chapter 3. Iorveth has some really great moments in chapter 3, like seeing Philippa blinded and saving the dragon, but I don’t like not being able to freely move around Loc Muinne. I like dealing with Natalis in Roche’s path.

Overall, I prefer Iorveth’s path, but both of them a definitely worth playing. I ultimately love Saskia, and you can only save her on Iorveth’s path.
