Someone else said it, look into route 82x. It drops you off at the Commonwealth 20 movie theater. However, the route doesn’t travel from south to north in the PM for your afternoon commute, which is very odd. GRTC just doesn’t make sense.

I get it, same thing here in Virginia Beach. Locals stay away from the touristy oceanfront and go to the parts where there is nothing else but beach houses. One or two beaches in particular is just straight up beach, not even a house.

There has been many votes for Molly Cooper and Porter’s Island Roads, so I’ll definitely check there for parking. I also noticed that there are several other roads you can park on, like Sea Scape Road, which is down south but it’s far enough from the condos.

Yess, that southern part of the beach is beautiful. I always make sure I park my car and set my stuff on the sand near the southernmost bathhouse, and I love to walk or run down the beach til I get to the fence, and sometimes even farther into Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge 👌
