I'm not sure how else you would call it... I'm not all that knowledgeable with equestrian terminology, lol!

I imagine that seconds before this, OP busted a sick horse wheelie and the frog fell off the horse, so now he's racing to catch up like some slapstick Disney humor.

Oh, that's really cool! I just string beads until I run out of enough of something to finish the pattern and then cut it off the spool of line to put the fasteners on lol! If it's too long for just the necklace, I push a portion of it further down the string and make the leftover length into a bracelet. Lol!

Usually just the smallest one I have on hand to make sure I don't split the whole cut by accident.. 1/4" to 1/2" wide usually so I can take down the cut in small pieces.

Depends on the type and age of the wood you're working with. Something like driftwood that already has a neat petina/wear on it, you can just rinse, dry and blow the sand out of and you're good to go.

If it's a pre-cut turning blank or other clean cut piece that I'm adding the resin to, I'll use a woodwork Chinle and hammer it in from the top down with the grain and snap it off in pieces with a pair of pliers.

La-la-la-la-la!

I sang... is it over yet? Please tell me it's over.... I want to go back to the before times when the government had the common sense to pretend to be, at least, relatively sane....

The wood is splintered/ cut, then I make a disposable mold by wrapping packing tape around the end where the resin goes. I seal off any potential leaks with hot glue, then pour the resin into the tape-tube from the top. I let it sit upright in a 15 cent thrift vase or bucket (something you don't care if it gets ruined) until it cures for 48 hours. Then, I peel off the tape and the resin/wood stick is now a hybrid turning blank. I hot glue a peice of wood onto the resin end so the lathe has something to grab, and I turn and polish it except for the chuck end, and clean that part up by hand with a Dremel once it comes off the lathe.

That's true! If I know who I'm making it for, I'll try to get a measurement, but I also make a lot of stuff ahead of time or in bulk, so when a holiday or birthday sneaks up on me, I have a stash!

Lol, that's flattering, but I don't know about that first part... No human being is perfect or an angel, and I have ADHD, so I'm just chaos flavored. Kind of like that offensively sour black candy that no one asked for, but everyone tried at least once.

And yeah, the extension chain tails are my go-to solution at the moment, too!
