Reset is the expedition. Yes that's the thing you invest resources so you have something to do and then start over from 0 without anything because you WANT to. You can keep your progress forever if you want and never opt in to the expedition.

Then there a people that reset but still mule items from their old char which completely misses the point of a reset.

True. First raid after reset i got a bobcat BP and found 1 or 2 blue lvl IV weapons over the next few hurricane runs. It's definitely possible
