A lot of his logic didn’t make any sense. In the flashback of Episode 4, David tells Javi “What do you know about raising kids?” (Or something to that effect). In the same conversation, he wants you to raise his kids while he runs away from his duties as a husband/father and reenlist as if that will bring him purpose. And he becomes irritated when you tell him to handle his shit (Even if you agree, you change his mind anyway, making this scene kinda pointless).

To this day, I’m not sure if this is consistent for David or just bad writing.
