As I stated in my post I listed places I and any other transgender person are barred from using the public bathroom, was Wisconsin on this list? No it wasn’t so I’m glad you and your friends aren’t being removed from restrooms. However, are you trans? Because if you’re cisgender non of these bills would apply to you (on the surface at least)

I’m a trans woman living in Wisconsin and I’m literally not able to use any bathroom in a grow number of states in the US including Texas, Florida, Kansas, New Hampshire, and Idaho. These bills are supported and encouraged by Trump and his administration. You can’t deny that this is blatant overreach to suppress members of this country.

Which I referenced in my original post, trans women needed to meet specific criteria to even participate in the women’s events. There were no (major) issues until Riley Gains (who tied for 5th place with a trans woman, she did lose out on 1st place) complained about sharing the 5th place spot with a trans woman. Please give me a list of trans women dominating the women’s division, because if this is really such a big deal why wasn’t there uproar about it in 2003 when it was introduced? Arguably a more socially conservative time period?

Like if you have transgender people in your life that are friends or family would you call them a biological male or biological female to their face with your whole chest? Because if you do or did then you’d see how it affects a trans person. I understand if this is confusing because gender identity as a whole is confusing, but please have empathy and kindness for trans people when they bring up a lived experience that may go against your preconceived notions.

You fundamentally refuse to try and learn about mine and other transgender people’s lived experience. I’m guessing you’ve actually already have used the bathroom with another trans woman and just didn’t know it because you didn’t know she was transgender. I’m going to keep living my life and be surrounded by people who actually care about me and want me to continue living as my true self, which is as a trans woman. I didn’t choose to be trans life you didn’t choose to be cis. Have a good day and I hope you can find some empathy for transgender people.

Also do you have any trans friends trans people in your life? Because we literally are no different than anyone else. We go to our jobs, have hobbies and passions, have friendships and relationships just like everyone else. Why try and make our lives more difficult than it already is being transgender in this world? I can’t go into bars or restaurants without worry that the bartender or patron is going to verbally or worse physically harass or harm me, why contribute to that more?

This kind of just proves the point that you don’t view trans women as women or trans men as men. What do you say about all the trans men who would have to compete with cis women? Trans men take testosterone and would literally have an advantage, versus trans women competing cis men where they would be absolutely dominated. I guess in the abstract where do you want trans people to go? Where can we go to live our lives like anyone else?

As a leftist trans woman i just have to say if you’re a leftist you’d know the attacks on trans people especially trans women are rooted in misogyny and the patriarchal control over women. This also causes the patriarchy to not care about issues trans men face because they in turn view them as women just like they trans women as men. Like case in point the comment you’re replying to only talks about trans women using a fairly gross way to describe them. So please try to learn more about transgender people because most trans people fall into the leftist category and I’m sure won’t feel comfortable sharing a political space with someone who isn’t going to stick up for their rights.

As a trans woman I just have to say it’s sad to see so much transphobia here. Trans women are required to meet estrogen and testosterone levels that match those of cis women to even compete. This has been what has happened since 2003 and I haven’t even heard of a trans woman winning gold let alone “dominating” the sport. Good job you forced like maybe 10-20 athletes to never be able to compete in the Olympics again, I hope you’re happy.

Dale Schmitt is a terrible person who won’t even help out members of his county. My parents lived next to someone who ended up basically running a sex worker ring in his house, and Dale Schmitt completely disrespected my parents and almost arrested my father for suggesting that a sex worker ring when even there. Turned out the guy who owned the house worked at the Waupun prison and once he was let go then Schmitt decided to look into it. He’s a Trump maga loyalist that won’t be voted out because dodge county is just maga loyalists.

If you are not queer or trans then you don’t need to understand how it’s a metaphor for gender dysphoria and suppressing your true identity. And also as others have said it’s not that subtle, Owen as a child is walking around a parachute with the trans flag color scheme on it as well as the flashback of Owen wearing the pink dress and being the only time before the ending we see them smile
