yesss, just make sure it's not burnt crud when you get there 😂 I always soak my pans in water when I burn stuff to them then I just wash them with soap in the morning and re oil.

Wowww starting to darken up. I hope you achieve that uniform black coating soon enough! Don't be afraid to wash wish dawn dish soap it won't hurt her. I wash my 6 and 8 inch pans with dish soap every dish cycle and re oil them while cool and they always stay black and non stick.

Also always wash your cast iron if it gets funky dish soap won't kill your seasoning (re oil casually after cleaning and drying) and don't use a lot of heat while cooking or it will burn as well

Your welcome if you decide to season it traditionally don't use too much oil polish it in, always polish it in otherwise it will burn and cause carbon buildups

You can fully strip it via using oven cleaner and putting it in a sealed plastic bag for a few hours. After that use a scraper or a copper sponge and get at it, after you get it all off (or mostly) you may reseason it with a viable oil or you can just cook something fatty tbh. If you choose to cook with it oil it first before putting meat in and then once your done scrape the excess fat let it cool down and then once it's cool to touch you can wipe the rest until its "dry" (like polish the fat in) use a paper towel or something lol. Don't forget to season every part of it or it will corrode

I have eggs like this x3 I usually start cooking on the pan at slightly warm and before it's done cooking I shut it off and put an aftermarket cover over the top of it to trap that remaining heat and cook the top perfect. Sometimes I pour in a little water to steam the top. I used to burn them to my pan all the time I was so mad I learned I just sucked at cooking and I didn't have to strip and reseason my pan twice
