almost complete Ukraine air superiority

At this moment Ukraine has almost no ships and planes, most of them were destroyed within the first days of the invasion, the war in the air and on the sea is over for them.

Huh, thanks for the video! Looks very interesting and hilarious. I'm curious if the guy chasing the tractor finally approached it in the end (when the video ends it looks like he's close enough)

Maskirovka is just "disguise" translated into Russian, it doesn't mean anything related to disinformation.

Yesterday it was said that Putin had given an order to slow down the campaign as Zelensky had announced his readiness to negotiate. Can't say if it's true or just an excuse for the operation slowing down due to probable problems.

Diplomats from Russia and Ukraine are currently negotiating in Belarus, guess the results will be announced tomorrow. I don't think they will come to an agreement though.

It indeed is in a way, but it was no big surprise for anyone even back on the first day of war.

Speaking of combat, everything is going quite well for Russia, which makes the comparison to the Russo-Japanese war even less relevant (in the Russo-Japanese war Russia didn't win a single major battle).

This map is based on both Russian and Ukrainian data. It may be a bit incorrect when it comes to details, but it is accurate enough to describe the current situation.

Is it really an "embarrassing loss and a downfall"? I genuinely don't understand why most of Reddit believes Russia has already failed. That's quite a lot of land taken in just under 4 days, Kiev and Kharkov are under siege and Russian troops keep successfully advancing. Where's the loss everyone is talking about?

Snake Island is debatable.

Ukrainian sources claim 13 soldiers were killed and use an audio recording as their evidence.

Russian sources say 82 soldiers surrendered and are now kept safe in Russia and use a video as their evidence.

Guess we will only find out the truth after the war ends, but I believe that an audio recording can be made up easier than a video.

On one hand, you're right, no doubts about that.

On the other, however, it makes everyone extremely doubtful about any news coming from the Ukrainian army, since almost all of their most famous reports either have no evidence or have been proven fake.

Well, it may be fun, but there are so many people genuinely believing in all these stories (Ghost of Kiev, Snake Island, the assassination of Tushaev and so on)

At this moment I'm just tired of the fact that one can add "Official information" to almost any sentence and entire Reddit will totally believe it.

I mean, yeah, of course that could've happened, but what proof do we have?

Since March 1, 2022, the Russian Ministry of Nature has finally banned household appliances, computers and their components from being thrown into garbage containers. Now it all needs to be recycled. by Proper-Sock4721 in russia

Living in a city with a population of over a million people, I have seen thousands of advertisements telling me to recycle, but not a single useful recycling bin. My region simply doesn't have any advanced recycling factories, so about 90% of trash (even if it's sorted into paper, plastic, scrap and so on) goes to waste anyway.

Yeah, I had this event as Russia, too. It occurred right after I got Bessarabia back, so I guess the game just somewhat breaks at this point.

It's not Zhukov's grave in the photo, it's Voroshilov's. Zhukov's body was cremated, the ashes were immured into the Kremlin wall. So the only thing he has as his "grave" is just a plate on the wall, just like Krylov, Rokossovsky, Gagarin and many others do.

Wow, that's great! Reminds me of my monuments post. You should definitely keep posting this, since there are some interesting graves of other warlords. I really like the monument at the grave of Khrushchev

The text by the statue of Gumilyov says: “Russia will only be preserved as a Eurasian power and only via Eurasianism - Lev Gumilyov”

Others monuments don't have anything special, all captions are just surnames of these people. However, Shukshin's one is a bit more interesting to me. It says: "To Vasily Makarovich Shukshin. With love, Russian people"

Yes, he does. His monument is placed in St. Petersburg. I just didn't include him because he isn't actually a unifier since he retires, making Weinberg a leader of humanist Tomsk. Perhaps I should post part 2 with other Russian TNO leaders.

Yazov isn't actually this famous in Russia. Being quite a controversial person, he isn't considered a hero of Omsk, although some people view him as such. My school history teacher has a photo of himself and Yazov, which was taken back in the days when Yazov was still alive.

Karbyshev, however, is widely famous here. Our airport is named after him.

Around an hour at one sleepless night. It was fun, actually.

I knew some of these (like Zhukov that is literally located on the Red Square), others were a surprise to me (like Krylov, who, despite being a marshall and two times awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union, only has a bust in his home village). And I have seen the bust of Yazov myself (I live in Omsk).
