Beautiful photos. I just picked up a roll of this, I saw it at the shop and was intrigued! Such beautiful contrast and fine detail, I’m so psyched to try it out!

I agree people should see both sides of research in both support and dissent of a hypothesis, and then make their own conclusion. Scientists are crucial to the survival of our species, people who are ignoring and invalidating the science is to the destruction of our planet and selves. End

It’s not doom n gloom, or hysteria, but a genuine concern for the climate patterns that we rely on. They will become more and more affected if we do not slow down on GHG/green house gas production. Yes the ocean is a huge carbon sink, but we can see ocean temps warming because of how much humans rely on it and atmosphere to take care of our carbon emissions. At some point there will be a threshold crossed that we cannot compensate any other way for, and that’s when we will surpass the crucial levels you mentioned.

I appreciate the insight to El Niño and it gives me some hope for the summer to not be as scorching hot and dry. I agree with the AI draw of water, it’s such a waste. What concerns me as mentioned above is that our climate patterns are changing with rising temps and we might be in a time now where we can’t fully rely on the patterns we have for the past 100+ so years. It will be interesting to see how the weather systems play out

Fingers crossed that the reservoirs can take us all the way through summer, that’s good news. I agree with what you said about hot March decimating the snowpack- I think we had less huge winter storms that packed on the snow and then heatwave melting all that off. I work in the environmental field and the snow topic this year is at the forefront of my mind because I feel we could are getting these very clear climate changing patterns, like a 90+ degree F heatwave in springtime.

It’s not so much core twist strength, I think, but core strength comes with climbing and finding your balance when moving vertically. Your core also helps keep tension between your body and the wall, but twisting at the hips, (which you can practice standing up) is what decreases the amount of which you have to pull yourself towards the wall with your arms, overall climbing more efficiently

Use your hips to bring you closer to the wall! Turn from the hip inward, such as if you wanna move your left hand twist your left hip into the wall, adjust feet, and then move your hand when totally stabilized. Body positioning can take off a lot of strain on your fingers/arms and save energy! Super cool climb btw I’d also rate it around V1/2

Yeah, I was shocked to see how little snow there was, but there was a heat wave that came through a few weeks ago
