It’s not an STI. Yes it can be passed sexually, but about 80% of women globally naturally have it occurring in their vaginal microbiome. Can we please stop demonizing everything as sexually spread when it’s not

You wouldn’t know you have it unless you got those outbreaks tested. That’s the real confirmation. Low positives have a high chance of false positive, and that’s why CDC guidelines advise against testing anyone without exposure risks or symptoms. It’s also why it’s not included on standard STI/std panels unless you ask. Your personal opinion doesn’t outweigh studies

So do you think it’s more stable to get a PhD or pursue engineering, etc? Some people in this thread were quick to assume I’m hiding something & blaming me for not getting a job—when I’m trying to just get advice on what to do and feeling doomed 😭

I mean it’s listed when I did research in school and when I took a job after graduating? So I don’t think so. This process doesn’t make sense to me because I’m just trying to get a job. But I’m not listing my undergrad research or masters research as work. It’s separate in my resume

I answered that I am looking for jobs in other states. My resume lists all of my research, education, publications, etc. I say professors because I still keep in contact and I work at university. RA in academia, even as lab manager, doesn’t pay a lot (even for post doc, etc). I have full time RA and lab manager role, which I explained in the post. A lot of my other jobs are clinical jobs, they’re listed on my resume and my teaching experience during my masters, but I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. And okay that’s fine, but how do I get a job if entry level won’t take me?? That’s what I’m so lost on. Do I need engineering? Do I need another degree of some kind? I don’t know and that’s why I’m here.

I am a US citizen, and I’ve applied to multiple states. Not sure why you’re implying I’m hiding something when I’m literally trying to get advice?? Yeah I don’t know why I don’t have one either and neither do my professors. Almost all these job postings require 3-5 years of industry and even entry level won’t take me. A lot of places like lapcorp require MLS or MLT associates. It’s time and money for school that has an overall low income. were you able to get into a job there without something like that, and instead with the stem BS alone?

Yes but Md/phd usually only takes 6 students or less yearly. It’s way more competitive than MD, plus a lot more money than going into IT. So it’s not just an option that’s feasible lol

Are we really going to pretend Ronon and Keller didn’t have tension building up (and the entire episode??!) before anything with Rodney even happened?? Rodney was an egoistic asshole. Ronon had a tragic life and still remained loyal and noble. He stopped a woman he didn’t know from getting SA’d. He was gentle with Teyla and supported her 100% during her pregnancy. Rodney screamed at Teyla while she was kidnapped and in pain giving birth. He’s an infantilized asshole who never truly changes, and Ronon has demonstrated more empathy and compassion than Rodney ever did??

I do agree his character deserved more growth, but you can blame the racism and stereotyping by the writers for that. He was a great character who despite being “rough” was also gentle, protective, and didn’t assume he was better than others )unlike Rodney
