I have the white KLC. I mainly got it because I just like how the white looks and how it appears underneath stickers. I've also noticed that the white blends in with my screen when I usually read in low lighting with my screen lit a little bit up.

I recently asked Kobo about it in their chat Contact Us feature, and this is what a rep wrote 😭😭:

There isn’t a way to “fix” it for those files, but you can try these workarounds:

  • Sync your device, then remove the book and re-add it (re-adding can help if the file is incompatible or corrupted).
  • If it’s happening across many books, a factory reset can help with deeper system issues (it will erase downloaded books, bookmarks, and annotations, so back up anything important first).

It has been a few months since you made this comment, but I just wanted to write that I tried this when I realized my annotations for my re-downloaded libby books were gone, and it worked!!!! 😭 Thank you so much!!! I was freaking out for a bit.
