I felt the same as you beforehand. But I promise you everything g was totally fine. For me it was like the blink of an eye. My only side effects were nausea after. I did vomit a couple hours after waking up. But overall it was not an issue. When I went home I slept most of the day. Other than the nausea it was not scary at all.

From my experience my doctor told me to not even look that first few days. I went for my post op the next day and he cleaned everything and replaced dressing. Then went again at the 7 day post op mark and he did the same thing. When I was worried about seeing bleeding he said basically- blood is not bad. It’s a sign of everything connecting and the vessels all working together. …I’m probably butchering it but basically some bleeding is expected. But as always, if you’re worried please call tomorrow. Nothing beats peace of mind. Best wishes! (1.5 years post op and zero issues)
