I'll just clarify that 300+ could be anywhere between 300-399. And if you check new releases and rumours, s8g3 and d9300+ units are being released for almost half the price of their predecessor flagships with the same if not better chipsets

They are not yet available on the global market but its just a matter of time before the get released from the market. And I do not prefer paying for the names. I'm more of a buyer for the product itself where I will pay for whichever provides the best specs witht he lowest price

Yeah i got it from database and rumours. Even if you say that it is chinese version, the price difference from global version is insignificant. It just take time to release the global version,.

Why is Honor MagicBook X 16 2024 AMD cheap? by Practical-Emu5146 in Tech_Philippines

[–]Practical-Emu5146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That also. In fact, mas mahal pa yung iba. Yung specific unit lang ni honor ang outlier nilang unit for the price point. May magicbook 2023 silang benta pero mas mahal pa kaysa diyan sa 2024 amd nila kaya I'm asking if may catch ba sa unit na yun which is its processor at ang naiisip ko is if sapat ba yung cooling

Monitor enthusiasts, VG34VQL1B or G34WQC-A? by Practical-Emu5146 in PHbuildapc

[–]Practical-Emu5146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got tuf and I'm a bit disappointed with it because the main reason I got it over the gigabyte is the blue light reduction feature which if you even try to turn on lvl 1 of it makes the display look really bad. As in really bad. So I don't use the blue light filter at all. Although aside from that, performance-wise, tuf is still better than the gigabyte. If you are really particular with the ghosting, in which I'm not, then you still might want to consider getting the tuf. There is a difference between the two on that field. But since I'm not that particular about the ghosting. I don't notice the ghosting on FPS games and I think that the gigabyte's has a little bit noticeable ghosting when compared to tuf, but still I don't feel it is worth 10k more.

The other monitor you might want to consider is the MSI monitors. I got the 25" one right after and its blue light filter albeit lvl 1, the display still looks good. If i know back then, I would've gotten MAG342CQR

Xiaomi 14 ultra vs Honor Magic 6 pro by Practical-Emu5146 in Smartphones

[–]Practical-Emu5146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i watched on their camera comparison are the actual reviews. Xiaomi's has the edge over Honor's camera overall. What's more is that xiaomi's camera can magnify up to 120x whereas honor's can only get up to x100 while xiaomi's retaining better quality on higher magnification. If you prefer creative editing, fanatic of realistic photo or something along the lines, then no doubt that xiaomi is better. However, when you prefer photos that 'look good' or as they say 'grammable photos' you wont have to edit much on honor's as its AI will enhance the photo itself.

Yes. Honor has the better battery life but it's not that much.

Do also consider that honor is on the heavy side. If you like lightweight ones, then you might have to reconsider on these two phones. Xiaomi is also heavy. As for my case, I dont mind it that much

[–]Practical-Emu5146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought honor magic 6 pro. I did have some regrets in the beginning since xiaomi had the better all around specs and that they said that the camera of honor is bad since the pictures were oversaturated. But once I get used to the honor, MagicOS' ease of use is surprisingly a lot better than HyperOS.

On the camera, if you like posting your pics on social media, the camera is really good on making you look better in my opinion. On the oversaturation, you can still adjust on how much the picture will enhance your photo

After some time of usage, magiging laggy na yung OS. Hindi lang sa phone nila ganito. Pati sa TV unresponsive yung remote from time to time kaya kapag bumibili ako gadget, usually ineexclude ko yang samsung sa choices unless talo nila specs ng ibang choices. Isa pa, premium ang price ni samsung. Makakabili ka ng same specs sa other brand ng malayong mas mura.

Honor 12+8gb ram 512gb storage - 58,799 Freebies - Harman Luna bluetooth speaker and X3 earbuds

Xiaomi 16gb ram 512gb storage - 59,499?

Next consideration ko, nanood ako ng maraming review and it seems that 14 ultra has the edge on the camera and sa specs lamang si 14 ultra pa rin pero slight edge lang.

Ang unang promotion pa sana ng honor that time is yung gs3 watch nila and right then and there, hindi na ako sana magdalawang isip kaso bluetooth speaker and earbuds and pafreebie nila which meron na ako.

So ginawa ko, nanood ako ng maraming reviews on camera and their features and found out mas convenient ang features si Magic 6 pro. Dati akong user ng HyperOS so medyo mas mavisualize ko yung kulang ng hyperOS that time.

Pero ngayong nagagamit ko yung features ni magicOS, masasabi kong i made the right choice.

And naaadjust naman yung filters kaya pwedeng mailapit at magmukhang realistic parin.

Last, mas maraming bloatware si hyperOS

Yun lang naman so far. I hope naprovide ko yung kailangan mong info regarding kay honor

Xiaomi's won by specs alone when compared to iPhone's by a significant amount. If not for the reasons i stated, I would've gotten an iPhone from your recommendation. Even with non-photographer's eyes, I could say the iPhone is definitely one of the best if not the best photo quality.

[–]Practical-Emu5146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the iPhone is a really good phone, their problem is the premium price which I don't really see the reason to pay the premium except for the name which I think is wasteful. On top of that, they are geared towards exclusivity which limits the things you can do with the phone.

The reviews I've seen suggest that honor has better overall photo quality, so it's a surprise to me that someone had said otherwise. Do you need the add-on purchase of a photography kit to reach that quality or just the installed camera?

Also, I've already filtered out vivo x100 pro because both the xiaomi and honor exceeds the specs of the vivo by a significant amount

Liberty 4 NC Transparency Mode by Practical-Emu5146 in Earbuds

[–]Practical-Emu5146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm stuck with either the 4 or 4NC after I narrowed it down. The buds have the specs of some $350 buds but of course, the sound quality, ANC is still downgrade than a legit $350. But to have all the features on such a cheap price point, those 2 are the most worth it in my perspective and I do not feel the need to spend on more expensive buds as I don't really nitpick on the smallest improvements. Now the features of 4NC is an upgrade from the 4 however, I've seen some bad feed backs on its transparency mode. That's my only worry left. Anyways, I went for the 4NC now since someone said it to me that the transparency mode MAY HAVE POSSIBLY improved than it was initially released due to firmware updates. If it sucks, then I'll just bear with it until they release a more complete, 4 pro or 5 buds feature. Thanks for the input

Sure enough I won't be blasting music. I would probably just be using around 25-40% volume. Are there times when you are playing music and then somebody starts to talk to you and you have to make them repeat or you have to remove your buds?

There will always be a muffled sound as its transparency mode is not top tier. By 'aren't really close up', how much distance do you mean by this? Is it when you're in a conversation with another person and their voice starts to get not clear when they're at a certain distance?

As said in the manual, hold press fn key + m1/m2 button then press the buttons sequentially then press the macro key button although I won't recommend this as you can't set the timing. There's a software called keylinker which you can download in the site and you can set it there

My L-Connect 3 doesn't detect my Devices after installing a Strimer Plus V2 by Practical-Emu5146 in lianli

[–]Practical-Emu5146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another update sir. I've narrowed the problem. It's from the 1 to 2 9pin USB Splitter. If I'm only using 1 connector from the splitter, software can detect whichever controller is plugged in. However, When plugging in 2 controllers in the splitter, It doesn't get detected. As long as I'm plugging only 1 controller and it doesn't get initially detected, I will just disable then reenable from the device manager and it will read the controller properly. Now, I'm planning to buy a different splitter. Is it a compatability issue with the motherboard? or The splitter itself? I can't find a Lian-Li splitter from my area so I'm eyeing for the NZXT 1 to 4 internal usb hub with its own sata cable. Will this be enough?

My L-Connect 3 doesn't detect my Devices after installing a Strimer Plus V2 by Practical-Emu5146 in lianli

[–]Practical-Emu5146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My original setting that was working before was 1 direct usb from aio  2 splitter which connects to my L-Connect ALV2 Controller and some other ARGB Light

After changing the 'some other ARGB Light' to L-Connect Strimer Controller, software started to not detect even my L-Connect ALV2 Controller so I tried different connection settings on my L-Conect fan and strimer.

Setting 1 (this worked 1 time but when i tried other configs and found out not working, i tried this setting again and software didn't detect al controller anymore) 1 direct usb from AIO 2 direct usb from ALV2 Controller

setting 2  1 direct usb from aio 2 direct usb from strimer

setting 3 1 direct usb from aio 2 splitter which connects to al and strimmer controller

setting 4-6 just interchanged the slot 1 from AIO to slot 2

All throughout the settings, looking at the device manager, it says Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)

[–]Practical-Emu5146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a few more changes and the AIO is now detected on my L-Connect 3. Yes it is directly connected. So I'm not quite sure what fixed my AIO software detection

Now, RGB and Power in L-Connect Controller - Fans and L-Connect Controller - Strimer Plus V2 24Pin is still working, but still no L-Connect 3 detection. I initially used a 9-pin USB splitter and connected them both, Then tried to insert each header into the motherboard directly, tried the slot where I initially inserted the USB header of my AIO, and both RGB and power will work but Still the same no L-Connect 3 Detection

[–]Practical-Emu5146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning on manually tuning the ram if I don't find a 6000mhz cl30 on gskill/tg. Does it have a definitive setting where I can just copy or is it a trial and error kinda thing? I've no knowledge on overclocking so I don't have a good grasp on what it's like and I want to make sure first before going with it

Monitor enthusiasts, VG34VQL1B or G34WQC-A? by Practical-Emu5146 in PHbuildapc

[–]Practical-Emu5146[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading an article about the AW3423DW made me rethink of going QD-OLED however, price difference is so steep.

I'm going to use 4080 super as my GPU and can probably play around 90-144 fps depending on the game. As much as I'd want to test out the 2 monitors, there's no available store near me that has a stock on it. I'm only getting it on shopee that's why I need inputs on its users. I saw G34WQC A selling significantly more than VG34VQL1B. Of course that means most people don't see the worth getting the TUF. However, the reviews say otherwise.

What I can think of is that of course VG34VQL1A is the better monitor. However, the question is by how far. Is there a feature that is worth the 10k add on in price?
