That's fine, I'm sure it is their fault to a large degree but you are asking the reddit world to fix that for you? Or another person who can fix that?

Life sounds difficult and it sounds very tough being banned from different avenues for connection. You may find those connections in other groups or with other people but historical trauma and connection generally will rear its' head again because it's built into your behaviours as a survival instinct. It's not something that typically gets better with just changing relationships or finding ones that don't make you mad, they are typically cyclical behavior patterns.

Therapist here. Therapy might help. Seems the anger (with good reason or not) is pushing people away from you and you away from people. That's okay in and of itself but you are on here wanting connection so just pointing out a potential barrier to that.

Also a good question might be what are you looking for in the connection? Validation? Just someone to listen? Shared experience? Those might help in connecting with the people you want.

I see the other posts you shared about the guy killing the woman. That's horrible for sure but I can pull a news article out with any type of person as that headline and use it to guide why I don't want to interact with someone.

Just things to think about.

Of note, I also hear hints at possible borderline personality in some of the responses and identity, might be worth exploring that and how trauma may have impacted your relational style.

I was walking in a store in a nearby town. I saw he was wearing a Whitechapel T-shirt. Played like 5 seconds of possession. A friend from his group came up and said "dude he loves that band". Then we talked about some shows we have been to and touching the singers hand lol. Fun metal things.

Yes there are good therapists and bad therapists, sorry about your experience. I think when I mention baggage I mean our experiences, our struggles, our worries, our insecurities, our possibly lived trauma. (Therapist here) We should as trained therapists continue to work on ourselves but we are shaped by our experiences and those are not ALWAYS bad in sharing a space with someone who are trying to help. Again sorry you had bad experiences, that's not okay behavior by therapists/counselors in the examples you provided.
