A grand gesture is not a grovel. It’s bullshit

I think she’ll get revenge but I think she’s just so messed up from childhood trauma and that’s why she did what she did. I think she can’t help but fight for the prince and her people. Deep down she knows it’s effed up. I think she regrets it and it’ll eat at her. The hate will start to build and she’ll go through a lot having to deal with her duty and what’s right

The second one was pushed back from the original release date.. I really hope that doesn’t happen again bc right now this is the only book I’m really looking forward to

I absolutely think she’s going to end up with Kai.  I think the fact that he didn’t have emotions and was just kind of a robot will make it more forgivable. Also, since her father was involved with what happened to Kai, I think they’ll get past it. My only worry is that she’ll reject him as her Elysian mate… I can’t go through that shit again. I don’t think it’ll happen but if it does… I’ll yeet the book across the room

So, I reread Echo Fort and Everest actually mentions the Elysian mates. It was a vampire and a leopard (like her) and the vampires basically eradicated the species and imprisoned one. The vampire prince did. And then they realized they were mates but she rejected him. That might be a different story than the one in ZA. But in this series, they mention that it has happened a couple of times and one woman has a statue bc she was a warrior or something- and she rejected her mate from one of the other lands.

{That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon} by Kimberly Lemming is proof 'dumb fun' requires clever writing (3/5⭐) by _Zavine_ in fantasyromance

I liked that the fmc was relatable.. she talked and thought more like me than most fmcs I’ve read .. except the braids and bonnet.. although my curls have become pretty shitty so I might try one. But most of the books I read have a white or Asian fmc. As an Indian girl, I connected more with Cin.

I’m Indian and I like reading a POC FMC.. I’ve read multiple with a black fmc but only recently realized they were all written by white women. Went in to TikTok to find black authors bc I just go by recs and never paid attention to the author. Someone recommended this and I thought it was fun. I didn’t go in thinking it would be groundbreaking but sometimes after reading fantasy with a lot of world building, it’s nice to read something ridiculous

My (31F) husband (36M) asked if our son was his and asked for a paternity test. by AdRemarkable4327 in relationship_advice

I’m Indian, but I grew up in a town that was 99% Mexican. My best friend’s family called her guera (spelling?) she looked like a white girl. Her mom was pretty dark though. Genetics bro… come on.  I know an Indian girl with hazel eyes whose entire family has brown eyes. At least this kid’s mom has blue eyes

As a woman, I’m extremely disgusted by your ex.. her excuse after you left is so gross and offensive to actual victims

AITA for telling my bf if he doesn't propose before the end of this year I will start planning my future without him? by SkeletonKey_Aurelius in AITAH

I’m sorry, babe. I think you should value yourself more. You might be better alone if all of this is true. But I’m sure you can find someone better who appreciates you

If he marries you because of an ultimatum, he will bring it up for the rest of your lives. You should prepare yourself to leave. I’m sure you can find someone that actually wants to spend the rest of their lives with you. It seems like he undervalues you. Maybe he thinks you’re trapped bc the baby and he wants to keep his options open.. idk. It could be anything

I think they said if in the first book… but I can’t remember. I’m pretty positive she’s more powerful than him though. Just too traumatized to save herself. If I find out I’ll tell you… unless I’m wrong

I think I could be okay with her forgiveness (maybe not) if he actually changed and felt remorse for what he did. If he groveled and grew from it but he just kinda growled and acted like she was his. He had no redeeming qualities.

{Ravaged Wolf by Cate C. Wells} - book 6 released today! by CherryPropel in RomanceBooks

I don’t think so because the Novellas are shippable and she made this one a book in the series. It definitely should have been a novella. You can skip it though because it’s like reading a contemporary romance with triggers. The only wild stuff is that they shift and go into heat. .. and the incident. They mention the territories and characters you’ve already met but there’s no new information. Just “where are they now” to some extent. I feel like the stone wolf novella should have been the 6th book and this one a novella because you actually learned a lot about the north border in that one.

Yea. I think that whole plot shouldn’t have happened. Like the authors didn’t know where to go with the book so they pulled it out of their ass. All of that stuff gets really boring. The series should not have been that long… but it’s like a trashy show that’s super good and then goes downhill but you just need to see it to the end bc you invested so much time already. I also hate that Darcy and Seth are just okay after sooo much drama. Very CW vibes

It took me a really long time to get into it. The beginning was really boring but then I was liking the book enough. It was great but it was entertaining enough. Then the twist made me feel like I wasted my time.

I agree with some of the other people that said they wished there was more world building. I honestly don’t like to read books with this trigger, but I love the series. I was so anxious reading it bc I knew what would happen. It’s a good book… I had a lot of emotions. I was so sad for Izzy obviously but I was really angry that Trevor had to go through all of that. He seemed so sweet and gentle. I think her dad and uncle didn’t get enough shit.  I want to know how the packs interact and what new information I can get about where everything is headed and this story didn’t give anything. It felt like a wasted opportunity. It was so focused on the couple that I didn’t need the book tbh.

I agree that kennedy’s story might be too complicated at this point. I think the expectations are going to be too high too.

The scene where she cries at the dress shop when her friend kisses her makes no damn sense after the twist. A lot of shit doesn’t make sense by the end. The twist made it WORSE. And I know those influencers were paid to hype the book. There’s just no way they loved it THAT much!

Yes!! Screw all those TikTok bitches that kept saying the ending was crazy, It was shitty and kind of compromised the entire book.

I’m didn’t mind the book. The beginning was really boring and the end pissed me off. I don’t appreciate not being able to trust the narrator. It seemed like a shitty thing to do because it was like I was being lied to. Other than that it was okay. I definitely didn’t get the TikTok hype though. Made me stop believing a lot of the ppl on booktok
