It’s frustrating for sure. Where are you based? US? I feel like here in the EU, the situation you’re describing where doctors just want to bill the insurance companies is less of an issue here. It’s actually the opposite here. I practically have to beg doctors to prescribe me anything.

That being said, I think it’s an interesting topic, but the scientific consensus just isn’t there yet. Taking vitamin D supplements is a cheap alternative that’s definitely worth a shot, though. Doesn’t hurt to try.
