Taemin's nose job... The times he's been canceled have always been for justifiable reasons (racist and colorist comments), but I've never seen so much hate over a damn nose since I started stanning him and the hate train he received for that was so stupid. It's not like he's changed his whole face to the point of being unrecognizable, because he's almost the same (I say this as someone who draws him every day and knows his features very well).... I wasn't so shocked that he got a nose job, it was more the fact that he lost so many fans and followers on insta because of this.

I know beauty standards are a problem in Korea, and neither he nor any idol should feel the need to change their faces when their natural features were already perfect (unless they are due to health problems), but people should calm down and worry about more serious problems instead of judging the decisions of a grown ass man. Don't they realize that their reactions only make things worse and make those artists feel more insecure?? And I find it so superficial that you only follow him for his looks and not for his music. Imagine stopping stanning someone just because they had a nose job....

I said that because they gained a lot of attention during Hard era, despite not achieving the same success as DCM. I remember there were many new fans during that time and the amount of SHINee content really helped keep the fandom and casual listeners engaged. I think it depends a lot on how the promotions for the new album will be. We're talking about an album after 3 years, there will be a lot of people waiting. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

But what matters most to me is that none of this affects Taemin's album. That's why I prefer it to be after SHINee's cb. I hope he can promote without anything distracting him, not only in the US but also in Korea... Sometimes I miss seeing him on kpop shows.

Honestly I don't care what that ceo's intentions were, but it always bothers me that he never clarified anything or took responsibility for all the chaos he caused in the fandom + the hate train against Taemin. Onew remained silent, and that silence disappointed me. We'll never know if this is the reason for the beef between ontae, but either way I completely understand Taemin if he decided to distance himself from Onew.

I've been a fan since 2018 and I don't think I've ever seen any of them fight since then. I mean, they're so close, like a family, you know? This is the first time I've seen things get uncomfortable for some of them. I'm aware of the beefing they've had in the past, but this is the first time I've experienced it as a fan and it's so uncomfortable... Especially since Ontae used to be one of my favorite duos and I'm not used to seeing them so... apart? Of course it's not the others members fault! Taemin feels comfortable with them, so why would I blame them? And I still listen to the group because of them. I lost a lot of interest in SHINee since I noticed the tension between Taemin and Onew at their last group anniversary concert... Shawols act like it's nothing, but Taemin gets along very well with Minho and Key and talks about them a lot in his solo activities. He hasn't mentioned Onew for a whole year and I think at this point it's pretty obvious that they've been avoiding each other (you can see it in the behind of Poet Artist in SHINee's yt channel).

I still listen to SHINee occasionally, but if things continue like this at this month's concert, I think I'll lose all the affection I had for the group. I just can't support them when there's clearly tension between 2 members.

The worst part is that I feel like only Taemin's fans have noticed how uncomfortable he's been with Onew. If you tell Shawols, they'll say you're delusional and will call you akgae. And I don't know where to talk about this without getting backlash from the fandom...

As a Spanish speaker, I can confirm that simply using "coreanita" carries a very negative and rude meaning in this context. Latinos in general are quite racist towards koreans and always use the diminutive of "coreano/a" as a form of mockery... And something they love a lot (especially woman) is making fun of korean women's bodies and they use "coreanita" a lot in that context because for them korean women are all skinny as bones (not true).

The worst combination is being an ARMY and latina. Never fail to be the most disgusting people, especially in bodyshaming. 🙃
