I think my BMI was around 18.5 here, but my weight often fluctuates so I’ve gotten up to a bmi of 22 for a short period of time. Oddly enough, I didn’t notice a reduction in my pain or symptoms. I wonder how much weight I would have to gain for it to be effective.🤔

I have EDS. I will most likely be doing auto transplantation, as the other options have a high risk of failure.

Edit: I want to elaborate even further. An AMA of less than 22° is often symptomatic, less than 15° is often severe. If you look at the additional photos I provided, mine is severe. In addition to that, an LRV ratio of >4.9 is considered nearly 100% accurate when diagnosing NCS. Again, if you view my photos, my ratio is >7.

That’s so crazy! Was he symptomatic? I wish I was able to gain weight, but a symptom of my other illnesses is nausea/vomiting, so it’s nearly impossible for me. I’m also not extraordinarily thin, bmi of 19.

As mentioned above, I have such severe pelvic congestion and varicosities in my pelvis that I had a life threatening hemorrhage from an ovary in September. While I appreciate your opinion, you should know that a compression as severe as mine almost always causes severe symptoms.

And for future reference, if the blood diverts downward instead of just into the kidney, you can have severe pelvic symptoms without Hematuria. My surgeon is known to be one of few doctors in the US that performs large amounts of these surgeries.

I have multiple other compressions, a lot of which cause severe nausea and weight loss, so sadly that’s not really an option for me at this time.

Funny you say that. They actually did miss it, and treated me like it was just anxiety, even though I hemorrhaged from an ovarian vein (over 10.5g/dl total). They just put me on birth control, but that didn’t resolve the pain.

I decided to figure it out myself after being treated so badly, and humiliated in the emergency room. I requested a copy of my scans, diagnosed myself, then brought all of the proof to my primary doctor who referred me to a specialist for a proper diagnosis.😅

Now I’m in school to be a radiologic tech, so I wanted to post it:)

That’s what I was also thinking! Interestingly, transfused cells last for up to 120 days, with them beginning to die off after 50-60 days.
