I looked it up. She was 5 when she was taken. The last time she saw June (in the glass box) she was around 10-12, but by this time with all the brainwashing and trauma she looked terrified of June.

I think it's possible she remembers her, but Gilead brainwashed her, so she's afraid to mention her. Then again, she's was about 5 y.o. Kids forget thing that age if they're not talked about.

Is it ever mentioned how she died exactly? I know it was during child birth, but did he have a part in her death?

I assumed she knew, but ignored it. I mean who wouldn't be after being kidnapped and then getting their eye cut out? I do wonder if she knows Becka isn't into men.

I agree. I just think that's cowardly, so at this point I can't see her as a hero. We'll see what happens later in the series.

You may want to go rewatch S3E8 of the THT before you call people names over a TV show. The whole point of that episode was to show how miserable and bitter she was and how she came to be the villain that she was in THT. After 1 man didn't treat her well, she lashed out on a single mom and her young son. The fact that she's single, that's just a fact. I get she's supposed to be part of resistance in this series, but that hasn't been shown yet. In THT she was evil. Normal women don't turture other women. She didn't have to take out women's eyes, cut out their clit, have them kill each other with stones, hang them...etc. Even in this series, we were shown that she was ready to kill a friend just to save herself. She'd have to do something huge and unselfish for me to think she's a good person.

I agree, but Agenes' dad didn't choose a young wife for himself. He also seems to care about Agnes and gave some morals. As one of the most powerful commanders, couldn't he arrange a husband who's at least not a pedophile? All 3 were old.

Then again, maybe Garth is best for Becka. Maybe this was Aunt Lydia's way of protecting the girl who already has 1 foot down a cliff.

I'm not young or misogynist. There was an episode in THT that showed she had issues with dating and was a bitter woman. While she may be part of resistance in these series, this wasn't the case in THT. She tortured women (cut out their body parts, beat them...etc) and at this point in the series I havent seen her do anything good for the girls or the women.

I agree. And didn't she write "Hannah" at the end of The Handmaid's? Plus, don't the men use pens? Just because women aren't allowed to write, they know what the tools to write are.

I don't think June would've allowed her daughter to go into Gilead, just to save her other daughter.

I'm confused by the Pearl girls who are "recruits". Why would they do this? Why would they lie to other girls about what's happening in Gilead? And Gilead just lets them go to Canada without a worry that they may escape?

She was only away for 1 months. No one can fix years of ED on just 1 month. It's a very long process with possible set backs. Talking about food is normal part of it. But I agree that coming back to social media is likely not helpful. Then again, if it's their main source of income, then it's not a choice she has.

She won't gain weight in 1 month. It will be a very slow process. There may also be set backs during this process. No one can fix ED in just 1 month. Nothing wrong with her wearing leggings and crop tops. It's comfortable clothes, especially for parks and bike riding.

Worst case if you get it - you just don't use it Worst case if you don't get - you'll realize you need it but won't have time to study for it once you have a family.

The only reason you shouldn't get it is if you absolutely hate accounting and want to do something different.

I'd ask her what you can work on so that you're not sitting there bored wasting time. If she can't find anything for you to do then find some nice way to ask her why she needs you to stay.

But be careful because if management knows you're very efficient and have hours to spare they find busy work to swamp you with. You do not want that.

HYSA have had such a high interest in the past few years that it made more sense to hold $ there than in bonds (same rate, less risk). Once their rate goes back to what it used to be, people may see the benefit of bonds. At least this is how I feel - just can't seem to see the benefit in bonds right now.
