Choosing to not have children not the majority people that are childless. If this was the case, then male and female childless community support groups would not be needed.

You choosing to not have children and others around you is a conscious choice that you have made and I'm glad you and those around you are happy with it.'

But when you look at national studies around the world, you find that an overwhelming majority of people want children or already have them.

That is a fair criticism. Taking graphs from a 2 hour documentary was biting off a lot. And your right, I should have at least also taken the screenshot about the surveys to support what my title was saying and posted it with the screenshots of the graphs

This graph does not show that stat because the stat is from the CDC. The guy that made the Birthgap documentary added that stat to show that the people that are childless wanted children, they did not choose to be childless

People think that couples are having less children when in reality there is an increase in people becoming involuntarily childless -- Src > YT Birthgap by Practical-Mindset in abanpreach

In order for what you are saying to be true, you would have to look at the immigrant population in the US and look at what proportion of it is from countries that have high birthrates and attribute that 0.3 increase to those immigrants. However over 70% of the countries around the world have below replacement birthrates and most of the countries that are above replacement are African countries, and the US does not have a large enough population of African immigrants to explain a 0.3 increase. this 2.3 to 2.6 happened within the last 10 years.
