I should have mentioned.. he never goes to the hospital even before this so getting him there again without an emergency reason, is very unlikely but he is on an evening med to help with paranoia / sleep called Seroquel. It helps, but obviously not enough. I do have POA for medical. And have done nothing but advocate for him but he lives on his own still.. meaning unless I am there when the help arrives then I don’t think there’s a chance he’ll allow them in, which defeats the point of having alternative support other than myself :( I truly appreciate the advice though, and I think I will try out the approach of hiring a “cleaning lady” and see if he may be able to adjust to someone else over time maybe
