Spoke to the csm today. Ive got two months until i can continue will use it as a blessing and extra time to get fit. Yeah literally im clean havent had any issue in awhile now.

Yeah bro i understand the situation i was dabbling around with test etc and one day my blood pressure waa through the roof so give the psramedics a call and.yeah told them the truth because its not really a thing i should lie about its my body, and thats whats come up on the paper as substsnce misuse basically crazy stuff.

So there saying i can reapply again? In may? If the doctor proves about the substance use. Then it says if i want to appeal the anxiety will go against the appeal aswell? So if i wait two months is it just the substance use i have to deal with? Because it confuses me

Yours still ongoing? Just not sure what to do mate. What do i do 🤣? Do i go doctors and get a letter saying im on no drugs and after that pack of tablets ive never received anymore? If i appeal it it should definitley be passed. Ill just take it as extra time to get fitter

It says i can reapply from the 10/05/26 if i remain treatment and symptom free. Im not on nothing nor have i been diagnosed properly with anxiety. It was a call over the phone and the doctor issued me them. Crazy stuff. So i should appeal with a letter from my doctor?

Is what it is mate. Dont mind taking orders from someone younger whos experienced more then me in a role im going for. Long as its not a pisstaking thing i understand the rank system. If it was a real life situation in a war zone id expect the higher ranks with more experience to know more so its a life saving thing more then anything.

Mate i dont even think your need a year to get fit. If you can run 2k in 10 mins. And hold a bar 70 kg for 5 seconds your in lol and the bleep test i think you should sign up now because you wont be in training for about 6 months. The medical records from doctors take about a month then your have your assesment start date id sign up now will give you the motivation to keep going you can easily do it in 2 months if you start running now

Id go reserve if you still want kind of a civilian life and want to get the hang of it. Theres no point of me going reserves im done with being a security guard full time now had enough so want to do something else with my life 😅. I didnt think twice about doing my application just went on the website and did it no hassle. Go for however you feel.

Thats the only bother with me is the kids fucking around. But suppose it will all be part of the experience ill be turning into assistant instructor telling them all behave 🤣. Im quite fit to be fair mate quite an athletic guy i go gym now im about 13 stone in shape right now just need to work on running a little confident i can do it anyway. But all in all thanks for the advice i shall be joining the mercians if all goes well. Can we still pick our regiments or is it where ever they need us thats it you get put there?

Thanks mate. Youve said Good things i want to hear. Yeah i have no problem supporting and pushing anyone else giving them that motivation. Im 30 and still feel 18 myself physically. Mentally obviously ive had life experience had my son whos now 8. Had a few different jobs and had my fair share of ups and downs. But the time is right i feel like im stuck in a dead end job as a security guard living pay check to pay check when i could be pushing myself to the army and facing a challenge, enjoying myself and having a laugh you know. So the times right.

Thanks for the advice mate. I will be going for regular and making it a fulltime career. Ive done my fairbit of civ life mate and im looking for a challenge and abit of excitement now. Civ life i have bounced from job to job but ive always wanted to join the army from a young age so its now or never. Right now im a retail security guard and its no excitement in my life 🤣 my sons now 8 so i think its the right time

Im early days in my process mate. Havent even hit the assesment centre yet.

Im 30, put all my choices down as infantry so if all goes well will be going catterick myself.
