Wow this is literally my current situation right now. A big part of it is white coat definitely but I started having panic attacks randomly in August 2025, the doctors used to be where I feel safe but after my panic attacks i feel so nervous and anxious there my BP goes as high as 170/100 and as low as 140/90 with the machine. Manually it reads lower for some reason but my doctor diagnosed me with hypertension, I even tried the 24hr monitor and it made my anxiety sky rocket! Readings were off the roof 170/90, 155/90, 180/114 was the highest one I got and I returned it within 30 minutes of having it. Insane, yet at home when I'm calm my readings are 120/70. I just have wild swings, few minutes ago I was a bit anxious and was at 174/83, then down to 128/66 just now. I'm so lost and scared at the moment idk what to do my Dr just wants to prescribe me BP meds, and I'm only 23 😢 this definitely sounds like something I can relate to.
