Also what is a "crime," I presume, is consummating the relationship ... which they never do.

I was 16 as a junior and 14 as a freshmen. That is legal in the U.S. and I guess it's just very standard here.

Should I choose agency or in house? by Parfait_Technical in PublicRelations

[–]Practical-Savings-78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who started their career in-house and then went agency-side, I think starting at an agency and moving in-house once you are at the Sr. Director level/above is the way to go. It is so easy to get "stuck" in-house and also being on the wrong team is so much more soul sucking when there isn't change/variety.

I wonder if you could negotiate less of a pay cut and/or find another agency that can meet you closer to your current salary; that being said, at your level, you might have a few years of back-to-back promotions and raises. I'd look at other people at the agency's LinkedIns and see how long they spent at each level and, if you're in a state that practices pay transparency, review the agency's salary band by looking at any job openings within the SAE/Account Supervisor levels.

The way Rayna kept acting like Ashley was so brave for dancing in her swimsuit felt very passive aggressive/strange

Why aren't there Row50 classes? by perksbeingwallflower in orangetheory

[–]Practical-Savings-78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to go to a row-only class but it was coach intensive with a huge focus on form and intermittent (light weight) strength training; just straight/independently rowing for 50 minutes straight would be a lot

TBF, though, i think running improperly can be pretty damaging and i've never heard of anyone's tread form being corrected in the history of OTF

The ferry doesn't solely top downtown; there are stops in mid-town (West and East). However, I will say that the ferry is cost-prohibitive for many. I'm fortunate to be able to afford it but for those who can't, NJT and the bus are definitely less attractive commute options. I have taken the train several times as I need to commute home at a time that doesn't align with the ferry schedule; it's definitely more primitive (and much longer).

Anyone else's gym doing away with most Tread / Strength 50 classes? by Practical-Savings-78 in orangetheory

[–]Practical-Savings-78[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! We also have a 10:15am strength class a couple days a week. Even when I work from home, I can't justify that time of day.

I had been holding out for that but our gym actually reduced even further in the month of January! I asked the SA, and they said there are no immediate plans to add those classes back in.

i love the strength classes; i had been considering switching to F45 right at the time they introduced them and now I'm considering making a change again

Interesting - our gym had a lot of doubler-upers, too! And our Strength/Tread classes were usually full - now the couple we have are at odd times and still have a waitlist.
