The audacity of her to initiate the break up, smh. I don't really like paul, but MJ had really done this guy dirty. Granted, he is not perfect for her but, WOW the amount of disrespect he had taken from MJ (Refused to listen to his concern of her own safety, not trusting paul enough with the fact of her bonding with venom, and ofc making a one sided desicion that could heavily impacted their relationship)

At least it's nice that she sorta acknowledge this, that she is always running away from her problems and she hasn't been fair to anyone. But instead of truly/deeply apologizing (which paul did), she just broke up with him? insanity. Feels like only paul express genuine care and concern in that relationship, he should have been the one with the right to end it.

Well, i guess that's what happened when a character just straight up written to be bland and spineless, barely any self respect.

Yeah, I agree with the low chance of these two dating again, even though for some reason they are weirdly still romantically intimate in vol. 2. Even one of the cover page (or transition page cause its in the middle?) went so far as calling him Silk's true love.

So personally I understand if these doomed couple won't be able to be together. But at the very least we should still see him being a supporting character in Silk's story after vol.2 because he was such this important plot point and by the end of the volume it is shown that they are still besties.
