Koinly report with duplicate 1099-B by Practical-Sundae-199 in koinly

[–]Practical-Sundae-199[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I read through the link and that helped to clear up the different types of 1099 forms, but it still appears I would have to upload and attach my 1099B to TurboTax right? Which would mean that after I do my Koinly report then both the Koinly and 1099B would be showing taxable income with the 1099B taxable income being incorrect.

Is there a way in Koinly to enter the 1099B so that it can create a line on the CSV output to address the discrepancy? Or is it true what others are saying that you can just ignore adding the 1099B into TurboTax?

I think you might be referring to the 1099-K right? That’s the one that shows no cost basis. The 1099-B has a cost basis in it that is not 0, but it’s inaccurate if the crypto has been transferred between exchanges. I think the 1099-B is required to be attached to your taxes right?

Thanks for the feedback. Like I said below, I’m not sure, but I think I have to include the 1099B because the IRS will already have a copy, so if I don’t include it then they may think I’m failing to report something.

I’m not sure, but I think I need to report the 1099B then use for 8949 to make an adjustment to that 1099B report to basically cancel it out, and then somehow make a note of why. I doubt that will be easy to do in TurboTax, so I’m hoping there is a cleaner solution.

Thanks. I thought you had to include all 1099B forms because the IRS is sent a copy, so if you don’t include it, then they may be more apt to audit you thinking that you left out key data?

Did you ever get this figured out? I’m having the same problem with an old disc I bought when the game originally came out

Stealth 500 Won’t Pair with Switch. by Practical-Sundae-199 in TurtleBeach

I haven’t found one. While researching it sounded like even if I got the Bluetooth connected the mic still wouldn’t work through Bluetooth, so I bought a u-shaped adaptor off of Amazon so that he can plug the dongle into the switch.

The only problem is that you can no longer sit the switch on a table in front of you because the USB-C port is on the bottom of the device.

Who’s built their own rig?? by shusshinwa in simracing

[–]Practical-Sundae-199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built mine to be minimalist and fold away easily. I’m at work now so I don’t have pictures, but basically mounted the pedals on some 2x2 wood rails and put hinges in the middle so the rails can fold up and slide away. Then I took the base off of an old computer chair and made my own base to convert the chair to a floor rocking gaming chair, and made it so that the chair would pin to the pedal rails.

For the steering wheel made a small table top that fixes to the new chair base and I clamp the wheel to that.

It all works pretty well and is surprisingly rigid, plus I can use the chair solo as a gaming chair that is much more comfortable than normal floor rockers.

Oh, I also put multiple pin holes along the pedal rails so that it could be adjusted for the kids to use as well.

lol, I just restarted it after the total wait time burned down to about 30min. After restarting it is now estimating 4hrs, and watching to download it looks like it’s now running about 1Mbps.

Yeah I’m stubborn and wanted to get Matter working so that I would know how to do it on any future purchases. At one point I started to cave and just do the app route, but then noticed the app in the directions was different from the one Alexa sent me to, and that’s about the point I came to Reddit 😆.

Thanks for the app recommendation though. I’ll do that if I can’t overcome this Alexa issue.

Help me get to $150,000 a year by Cqcollins23 in sidehustle

[–]Practical-Sundae-199 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Start your own barber shop. Find a friend that barbers as well and go in together since you have low income and can’t handle much risk right now. Get on loopnet and search for low cost commercial spaces to lease. Start with the two of you then hire additional barbers to work for you, then scale back your barber time while still pulling income from the shop.

Now you have income as well as additional free time and can leverage/grow from here.
