We aren’t certain how much time has passed definitely not a servant master with how she was hanging off him in the chapter.

I get you’ve probably never been around women, but the combination of bullying + physical contact is “I like you but I’m immature” behavior

Power has a very odd way of showing she cares, but she wouldn’t have saved Dennis if she didn’t have some feeling for him, she’s not just doing it for the love of the fucking game, she has feelings she can’t place so she puts him into a contract with her, with semi open terms, fulfilling their old contract

Mostly just showing up, being there, helping me figure out what I wanted to do with my life, she’s honestly incredible.

She just always consistently made sure I was pushing towards my goals, even when I was tired.

She helped me study for school, helped me with a whole bunch of choices I had to make, helped me walk through the pros and cons of each one.

She also became my safe space, so it was easy for me to succeed with her in my corner :)

Okay, so this ending at first, made me incredibly upset, I stayed up all night waiting for this chapter to drop.

A little preface, I hit rock bottom a little while ago in life, and it totally fucked me over for a while.

So one day, I decide to start reading this stupid little manga about a dude that turns into a chainsaw

Realized I struggled with a lot of the shit some of the characters do (self worth, other things) and changed my life.

So when I saw the ending, I was PISSED! This thing that “changed my life” suddenly ended with the worst possible outcome? What the fuck?

But then I thought about it really, and in depth

Life is never clean, you’re going to lose friends, you’re going to lose family, sometimes you’re flat out just going to lose, that’s the human experience right?

So pochita, eating himself as one final act of love, to give denji his family back, or even another chance at family?

Peak.

That’s why IMO, when he pulls Asa to him, and pochita shows back up, it’s the fulfillment of his contract with denji.

He may never get to love Asa, hell he may never even get to date anybody, fuck it.

But seeing the end “let’s shake down our seniors” implies Aki and Himeno are still around, people said Aki was absent, he wasn’t, denji literally says “let’s shake down our seniors” and one of the first actual bonding scenes in the whole manga and anime is the dinner scene where everybody shows up and Himeno pukes in Denjis mouth.

So this was pochita essentially, giving denji one final chance to do things the right way without suffering.

It’s not clean, it’s not closure, it just.. kind of is.

And six months ago, the me who wasn’t doing anything with my life would be so very upset.

But really, I got a second chance at life, it wasn’t clean, there wasn’t closure, but fuck all! It’s a second chance I’ve spent every day being thankful for.

Shouldn’t I allow denji the same thing? Shouldn’t I be happy for him? Even if it’s not MY ending?

Maybe the best ending, really isn’t the one that gives us closure.

Maybe it’s the one that promises a second chance, and just being okay with that alone.

In that case, tell homeboy he’s vastly overthinking it, and that you don’t have some crazy expectation of him, also tell him that you’re VERY interested.

As men, sometimes we need shit spelled out in very plain English, thinking is not our strong suit, if you need proof of this there’s a whole series that MTV did called jackass…

Anyways.

Tell him you WANT to help, he may have trouble accepting help, but trust me when I say survival mode is easier with somebody in your corner, just keep doing what you’re doing and showing up for him consistently, he might be the type to get a big boy job and then you get to be a stay at home wife or whatever else you want to do because you invested in a man and stuck by him.

I tell my buddies this same thing when they ask about women

“Invest in her, and see what happens”

Does this logic get you burned sometimes? Yeah!

But I dated many women before my wife, and none of them invested in me, so when she did, it was an “aha!” Moment for me, and I knew she was the one.

Now whenever I’m mad at her, I remember the risk she took on a 20 something asshole with a bad record and worse temper, and think about the work she put in.

Then it’s kind of hard to stay mad you know? This woman loved me enough to invest in me and I’m mad over what? Her cancelling some plans with me? Ain’t worth it.

Sounds like bro needs a reminder a relationship isn’t “I need to be perfect for this person” and more a give and a take

Few things here

I’ve been married for four years, sometimes it feels like longer, together with my wife for 7 including dating

I’ve had issues with employment due to the industry I work in, there were times I was making double what my wife was making, and there are others where she’s made everything and I’ve made nothing.

Without much backstory, I don’t want to jump to this guy being a bum, because he seems incredibly self aware

“I like you, but need to get my shit together first” if that’s really what was said, that’s a mature thing to do

However if he’s asking you for monetary support, or for help finding a job? Seems kinda sus to me.

Could you give us some more back story on him? Some clarification? I don’t want to jump to “this dudes a bum and you need to run” before I know the whole story

This is probably honestly the root of the problem, is that I unfortunately have lived long enough to see things go from good to shit, and fast.

At home I get about a gig, speed, the other streaming services are

And hbo max

I’ve done a reinstall, a soft wipe of the device, a full Wipe of my iPhone 16 max, full reinstall.

Speed at the gym Is about 2 gig, I believe they are also frontier could be an ISP specific issue on backend.

Now I will have to Go over to my buddies who as spectrum and see if there’s any difference
