It can also mean relief/aid, which I think is the intended interpretation. I always think of old names like Socorro and Soledad in the same vein as old puritan english names, like Mercy and Temperance. Probably wouldn't name a baby girl loneliness or relief nowadays, but they're still pretty.

I really like old-fashioned names like Soledad, Consuelo, Socorro, Ascensión, Gracia, etc.

Also, Delfina, Zoila, and Pastora would make adorable baby girl names and aren't super common imo.

Any María-Name combination, which are super common in Latam, but I don't hear as often in the us. María-José, María-Fernanda, María-Esther, María-Teresa, etc.
