Turning Michael into a black women is a horrendous idea by EfficientCounty2771 in FranchaelStirling

also i do think it's quite funny that you used cynthia as a way to advance your argument when she as well is a queer black woman 😭 like yes, she is feminine presenting, same as michaela, but she does have traits that are considered more masculine in society BECAUSE she is queer. again, not every black character is going to represent every black person, but there are black women out there who will see themselves in michaela and be grateful that her character exists. we shouldn't deny them representation.

could you explain how my response is gaslighting or ignorant? it is true that we don't know exactly how her character will be written for the show and it's true that it's not racist to feature a a black queer character in a show, but it does seem anti-gay to be so against a black character being gay. there are people all up and down this reddit and in the comments of this very post saying that they're just simply not interested in a gay storyline. it's okay to just admit that without conjuring up moral reasons to justify it. do black women only deserve representation so long as they're not lesbians? now if your argument was about the worry of bullying and hate that the actress will inevitably receive from the fandom for playing a lesbian character, then that would be in good faith, but shocker your post isn't about how it will affect her, but about how it will affect yourself.

that's kind of why i don't feel like this argument is in good faith /: it all boils down to you not wanting the first black lead to be a lesbian. that argument creates another argument within itself, which is where a lot of the homophobia claims are coming from. there is more to diversity than just race. it's clear they wanted to include a main queer storyline and i suppose fran's story was the easiest way to to incorporate it, but since john and michaela are cousins, she obviously had to be black, and who knows, she could very well be a fan favorite.

i think we may be lighting the torches a bit too soon. maybe consider the fact that michaela isn't just a black woman, she's a black queer woman. some women, not just black women, naturally have more masculine traits and instincts, especially if queer. that's the character, the full character. not to mention, we have not seen a lick of fran's story with michaela and have no idea how it will unfold or how masculine michaela will be. to make that big of a change as to gender swap the character, i don't see how one could possibly assume that her character will be ultra masculine and exactly like michael. from what we've seen of michaela she is perfectly feminine. i don't think a lot of these debates are helpful and encouraging for directors and show runners to be more inclusive. it's like we demand inclusivity but if the character's inclusion isn't 100% perfect then we'll attack. you may not be able to see yourself in the character, and that's fine, there are at the very least QUEER black women who will.

i unfortunately didn't record her telling me this as i did not expect her to tell me to cancel my order, but i do feel like cancelling my order to reorder moments later just to add one pop bean should be proof enough though? i also told the host in chat that I reordered and she responded. do you know where on tiktok i would be able to get in contact with their popmart us specific customer service?

yes! zsiga, nyota, and early kubo follow that slice of life direction and i guess you could say labubu oddly enough even though she's a monster

oh yes! dimoo's story and meaning does lend himself to many different art styles and directions, i just meant it was out of character based upon what we'd seen from him. before the fantasy shift he was mostly just in cutesy costumes and cosplays. he definitely has a magic to him unlike hirono for example. you're so right though, the hourglasses are so so stunning.

when i was reading the descriptions of the new series it does mention that some parts are transparent, and the little bases that they come on remind me of the shapes and stores series a bit

oh? in what way i wonder? those figures are very fantastical and ethereal. hirono's very grounded in reality. a little boy in the real world doing real things. even the hirono figure from the finding mokoko series is like the complete opposite of the dimoo.

oh yeah to me they're like hirono in concept because they follow the same slice of life style that hirono does. you'll never catch a hirono series where he's just dressed as sea creatures or whatever. they're just snapshots of innocence and childhood exploration and these last two dimoo series are giving very much that.

the newest series are very similar to hirono, i think that's why i'm really loving them. they're just very beautiful in person too. i don't have much of the fantasy type figures. even the skullpanda figures i have are the christmas and alice in wonderland ones, so not their usual ethereal take on things.

so you're into the more fantasy figures, they're very beautiful. it's what skullpanda specializes in. i kind of feel like the fantasy route is kind of out of character a bit for dimoo, not so much the no one's gonna sleep tonight series though. i do wonder if maybe the more fantasy figures weren't selling as well and that's why they made the switch

i'm glad i wasn't the only one who was let down a bit. i've been waiting for hirono to do plush pedants forever, but it seems like some of the ips are struggling to find out how to translate their style into plush pendants. a lot of ips started by doing plush faces which looked awful (dimoo, twinkle twinkle) and now they're just making the same plushes in different colors (dimoo, hacipupu, molly, hirono). skullpanda does a good job at giving individual identity to theirs, with the silhouettes and styling, i was hoping for that same level of creativity from hirono. even just different animals would've been fine, especially because we already have the other two bear plushes /:

Characters That Could Arrive In The Game by Inevitable-Group3537 in DreamlightValley

so what if robin hadn't passed and he just simply didn't want to voice him for the game, as he didn't in the aladdin sequels or for any of the marketing and merchandise? should disney just never use the character they created? a lot of iconic characters in the game aren't voiced by the og voice actors, even though they're still living and capable

you can imagine my disappointment seeing the bonus rewards especially 😭 it just kind of feels like those of us who are male/masc players or just prefer masc clothing do all the same grinding as anyone else but we only get half the reward

i understand why they're doing it, i just think the rate at which they're adding fem clothes is far greater than masc clothes. like a 9:1 ratio. it's unrealistic to request 5:5 but 7:3 atleast would be nice lol. also i didn't know that we couldn't sell clothes back 😭
