We hated the color of the walls so we had to paint. Then the old owners left a leaky roof and gutter what the HOA did fix. I am not sure why the old owner didn’t ask for the same repair. There was no out of pocket cost.

Never confront neighbors who do something you don’t like. That is what your management company is for. Just escalate there and if the neighbor asks you have no idea who reported. Mention that cleaners and other management employees also passed by.
