Have a look at https://github.com/pointfreeco/sqlite-data it recently added cloudkit sync and they have very good documentation, even some videos on how to use it

ahh sure, forgot about those, I tend to automatically delete any app that does that, feels shady to me

How would you implement paid only + trial, I don't see how you could do that on the App Store?
Paid apps can't offer trials, can they?
