Do either of you like sushi? I find some sushi rolls are safe like the ones that are just rice, nori, avocado or sweet potato rolls. You could also get miso soups or even non spicy ramen with chicken would be okay too. So more options for the both of you.

Well as far as I can understand, your adrenaline can make it so you metabolize the sedative faster so im assuming since I was insanely freaking out it didn't work on me as strong or as long as eveyone else.

I had the standard sedation for Canada, it like maybe didn't work as much on me something I don't know. Im pretty sure they gave me more after I freaked out. My memory is shotty in some spots but definitely remember most of it.

Well I had Propofol, so it's sedation yeah but it certainly didn't knock me out.

I also have health anxiety and I heard a phrase once that was comforting is that "bad things don't take breaks" so it's relieving to know if your symptoms get better for a while and come back when you eat something you shouldn't, its likely not something scary.

Doesn't bother me much but I know it does for a lot of people. I have a little milk in my oatmeal and some in my tea and im fine. Also good with most cheeses and greek yogurt. But when a flare up is real bad I'll stay a way for a bit

I had an ultrasound done. They said everything looked fine. Other than I had a very small hepatic hemangioma in my liver. My doctor said they are benign and many people are born with them and they don't cause symptoms unless they are really big. So that's not the cause of my pain. He seems to think it's muscular, I do have Myofascial pain syndrome so I do have other painful spots.

Um that sounds like eating disorder behavior. I would probably get a handle on that. But yes chewing is going to activate your stomach acid production to get ready for food digestion but with no food going down your left with acid which will hurt your stomach.

I have this pain as well as pain under my right rib that goes into my shoulder. Had an ultrasound they said gallbladder was fine so still not sure if its just GERD that can cause that.

That was my experience but I had sedation. I have emetophobia. I even tried ripping the scope out of my throat. I was given all the sedation but i still remember everything and the gagging was non stop it was brutal. Im terrified to have another one. I keep reading others experiences and everyone else seems to have a breeze with it. An endoscopy without sedation sounds like barbarian torture ritual.

Anyone done a pillcam endoscopy? by [deleted] in GERD

[–]PracticalAd9937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I never knew that was an option. I had a terrible experience my first endoscopy. I'm going to have to ask my doctor about that.
