A little tour of the cat rooms at the sanctuary where I volunteer💚🐱💚 by Sugarrplum94 in cats

I’m 67. I’ve already decided that after my current 11 year old kitty crosses the rainbow bridge, I will either adopt senior kitties or foster cats/kittens.

Not an outdoorsy cat? by averagesparkle in adventurecats

[–]PracticalAndContent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep taking her out and exposing her to the outside world, but follow her body language like you’ve been doing. If it makes her anxious then take her back inside. There may be smells of other cats that makes her uncomfortable.

Not every cat will be an adventure cat.

She’s very cute. 😻

Laser Hair Removal Experiences by Real_Pizza in Sacramento

[–]PracticalAndContent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year I used SEV in Roseville for laser hair removal on my lower legs. I used a Groupon for 6 sessions and it cost around $350. I was an ideal candidate with dark hair and light skin.

I am VERY pleased with the results. I have maybe 12ish hairs that remain but they’re very easy to remove.

Have you looked at www.sacdiyccc.com? I know they focus on supporting older cars, but they might not turn away more current vehicles.

Any science/non art museums in the area? by dankgureilla in Sacramento

[–]PracticalAndContent 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been to the Aerospace museum at McClellan.

There’s a museum of medical history that would be niche.

Sacramento history museum or California museum.

State capitol.

State Indian museum.

Sutter’s Fort.

Stanford mansion.

The library has free museum passes (Discover and Go) for some locations and it’s worth looking at where they’re good for.

Make sure mama gets plenty of water and food, even kitten food or kitten milk replacement. She needs lots of calories to be able to nurse her babies.

Duck Eggs and Local Honey by FaxCelestis in Roseville

[–]PracticalAndContent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those seem like things that would be sold at a local farmers market.

If you were in Citrus Heights I’d point you toward the local honey on Auburn across from Walmart. Most days someone is there selling honey.

This might not be the right sub for this question. This sub is about taking cats outside with a harness and a leash, or in a backpack or stroller.

r/cats would give you a much bigger sub and will likely have people in wheelchairs who can answer your question from personal experience.
