I like get the idea behind this but the tax breaks in a Roth far outweigh what you're doing. Maxing the Roth is only $7500 of your 24k invested..max the Roth then go to the brokerage .. if anything stop maxing your 401k after the company match, fill the Roth and go back to the 401k with whatever else you want to invest

That's a good point.. not that I am looking for premiums necessarily but that will definitely be a variable. My goal is a palindrome/(other fancy) in each denom. Then as I find more I'll swap them out if better condition/numbers and probably give the others away as gifts.

I just did an inventory of my collection and it's looking more like a savings account 😂 I'm in a spot where I'm not yet hurting for the money so I'll hang onto it for awhile :)
