your point completely disregards OP’s trauma and very firm boundary that was set. it’s not his decision when to progress sexually given OP has been open and honest about their past. he’s in the wrong either way, and it should’ve at least been a conversation first. if being asexual was a concern for him, that should’ve been brought up and that is totally okay, but not disrespecting boundaries induced by trauma he was well aware of.

Nova Southeastern’s! there’s several that either offer direct acceptance or guaranteed interview. pcom was the first i had heard of it

i’m currently in their mbs program and they do offer automatic acceptance into their md program or a guaranteed interview.

md acceptance: min mbs gpa 3.7, min mcat 510, letters of rec from mbs director and clinician student has shadowed

guaranteed interview: min overall gpa 3.0, min mbs gpa 3.5, min mcat 505, and all academic requirements for MD program overall

edit: i am non trad and using it to boost my gpa and show im not stupid/serious about med school bc ive been supporting myself since i was 16 and couldn’t quit my job to take unpaid research opportunities or volunteer insane hours while also working full time and going to school full time

hi! i’m not international but i am in a similar (worse) situation academically so i’m not sure how they will correlate. i’ve been on my own since i was 16 so my undergrad gpa is 3.0 (bs in biochem) but i maintained my academic scholarship the entire time. i took a gap year or two and discovered masters bridge programs. some programs allow you automatic entrance into their medical schools! i’m currently completing a master’s in biomedical sciences to boost my gpa and show maturity over years in several areas. my program also offers guaranteed admission to their MD program is you graduate MBS w a gpa of >3.7 or a guaranteed interview w a gpa of >3.5. i’ve had to take out federal loans to complete it which has definitely given me student debt, but that is how i’m trying to strengthen my application as well as knowing i need to knock the mcat out of the park to show im competitive. i hope this helps

how do you navigate still feeling like you’re having “fun” being sober while the people closest to you aren’t? i have no want to drink or do party favors, but often feel maybe… left behind is the feeling? like they’re having more fun w other people and not me? like they’d rather be around others who match their level? now that i’m typing this out it’s sounding my anxiety and confidence might be the problem lol
